I've been going to Look At Me for 8 months now. Oksana has been amazing, every. single. time. Her attention to detail, quality of products, and artistic ability is unlike any other salon I've ever been to. I can't recommend this place enough and would give more than 5 stars if I could!
Pros: · They did an excellent job filing my nails! · Their e-file pedicure left my feet super smooth. · The nail polish they use seems to be high quality. · The nail technicians seem very knowledgeable. · They paint your nails very close to the skin which results in a great look! Cons: · I had to wait 20-30 minutes after I got there (on time) and during that period no one acknowledged me. I ended up going to their breakroom to find my technician there. · They remove gel polish using an e-file instead of a cotton ball soak, which is generally much rougher on your nails. · They completely remove your cuticles, which definitely opens the door to infections! Even though it looks good, I would not recommend doing it unless maybe you are doing a photoshoot. Even then, I would be really careful and use antibiotic cream (like Neosporin) afterwards. · My technician did not remove the sticky layer on some of my nails and ended up redoing the top layer. She did not seem to be very precise the second time, and the top coat appeared to come out streaky and uneven. · It looked like my technician kept bumping into my wet nails during the appointment, and it left some uneven spots afterwards. · I did not get lotion or a massage after my manicure. · The e-file tool they use to remove calluses REALLY hurts! Although maybe because it was my first time? · I scheduled a time to come back in with the only available technician to just reapply top coat on those two nails (and mentioned it in my appointment notes) but she cancelled saying there was not enough time (then why is it available to schedule...?). · It seemed one of the technicians was not wearing a mask (or shield) the entire time I was there (despite there being 10-20 people in a fairly small area), even though the state currently mandates it. · My gel polish started chipping after 8 days! When done elsewhere, it lasts at least two weeks. Neutral: · They had me cure one nail at a time, which I thought was odd, but maybe it was part of the instructions for the polish? My appointment seemed to take a lot longer because of that, and I am not sure how it provided an advantage. · They also have a hair salon and the blow-dryers are really loud. · They recommended stickers instead of free handing a design I asked for. One of the stickers did not last longer than a week before flaking.
This place is a hidden gem in Bellevue! They are by far the best place I've gotten my nails done (and I'm very picky) and probably the only place I will go to now. Making an appointment is very easy, the online scheduling is convenient, their location is right off the freeway, and they have lots of parking (there are a few reserved right in front of their shop). Their shop has a fresh clean look to it. It may look small from the outside but they do have different areas for different services! Irina, the owner is fantastic! She is not one to rush and she is one detailed woman! She takes her time perfecting every nail and if you have not tried Russian manicure before....you are missing out!
It was my first visit to this place . This is not only nail salon . I came to see Irina for light trim and hair color . Parking was available, my appointment started on time . My hair color needed some major fix and Irina exceeded my expectations. I got great service on Women Day . Cute and clean salon with professional and warm atmosphere. I booked my next visit already.
