I have been going to Johnny nails and spa in Frederick for the past five years and have always had a great experience. The attention to detail is always evident. I get gel pedicure and dip manicure. Both last for 3 to 4 weeks and sometimes longer.
I walked in to get my nails done, and as I was looking for a color for my nail, a white woman showed up and said hi to the nail tech. She tells me to sit in the back row, and she takes the white woman. Halfway through getting the white woman's nail done, she came over to ask what I was getting done. I politely told her I had changed my mind and was not interested anymore. As business owners, they should cater to everyone; even if that white woman had an appointment, the polite thing to do was to acknowledge me and inform me she had already had an appointment, and would get to me as soon as she was done. If you are choosing not to recognize me, then you don't get my money.
Over priced!!! I got gel on my toes and fingers and the polish chipped within just two days!!!! Also they have poor customer service and only care about the $...
I used to live in Frederick, and this was my go to place. Even when I come home to visit, I still go. Love the place and atmosphere
This place is hit or miss and for the prices they charge, better yet over-charge, it should be a hit every time. Unfortunately, each time I have had the younger guy he rushes. I asked him twice to cut my cuticles back and he said he couldn't... what?... I got a gel manicure. I've been getting my nails done for over 25 years and know for a fact, this can and should be done! Unbelievable. On top of it, he charged $40!!! So, correct me but a std manicure is $14 + 20 (for Gel) is $34... I even tipped although not deserved. This place can be good depending on who you get or a TOTAL RIP OFF if not. I was rushed and cheated today... now I'll have to go to get them done again next week, because this won't last. Such a pain to start my Saturday on what should have been a relaxing treat for myself.
