Thomas Scott Hair Salon & Spa in Frederick, MD

It was my first time to Thomas Scott and I absolutely hated my hair so much afterwards. The hairstylist I think her name is Eddie did not cut my hair the way I wanted it to be. My hair turned out to be a straight blunt cut even though I showed her a picture of medium layered cut. It was not the length that I hated but the haircut was horrible. The moment she went out to take me in I was really thinking omg is she gonna be doing a good job? and I was right she didn't. I was trying so hard to be nice because she was an old lady. I also tipped her but this will be my first and last time. I would never come back.

I have been a client of Thomas Scott Salon for several years and this last visit was not good. My stylist was not focused and cut my hair too short with a razor as well as it was uneven. I called and spoke to the general manager and didn't feel she cared about my concerns because she asked what I wanted them to do for me. I wasn't looking for a refund, just wanted to share my experience so they could improve, but she excused the stylist and said she would speak with her. I don't care for managers that make excuses or protect the employee and not the clients that keep them in business.

I stopped in the salon to make a future appointment for a haircut with a stylist. It happened that Rachael had a customer who changed her appointment to an earlier time so consequently she was able to take me immediately. She gave me an amazing haircut and explained everything she was doing and how I should handle the styling when I'm on my own. She did an amazing job especially since I came in after having a haircut somewhere else that was a challenge for her. She is so nice, takes her time, explains each step and what kind of haircut is the best for my hair texture.

TSS has taken all the necessary COVID precautions and feel very safe during my entire hair appointment. Angie S. takes the time to actually talk to me before any process is started, "How is your hair feeling? How did the last cut hold up? What are you thinking for today?" She never makes me feel pressured, always gives me great advice if I want to do something that will take some "steps" and I appreciate that and taking the time to explain everything to me.

I'm sure this place dose a great job on hair but the nail services is horrible, extremely small selection of nail colors. And the price for a "special" pedi is 65 dollars! When normal salons charge 40 and have more services. Only came casue I had a gift card but I can go else where and get a much better pedi for half the price
