Apparently Tasha up and quit without any notice leaving all her clients to fend for themselves like me. but Amber was gracious enough to fit me in on the spot. First I want to make a disclaimer that this review is for the Sawmill location. Im typically generous with my reviews as many businesses have been struggling due to the pandemic. Unfortunately there seems to be a rise in complete apathy. I'm not sure if it's because they are overwhelmed, or that they know they will have a job no matter what they do. I have had positive experiences at the Maxtown Rd location and that is why I'm giving this three stars instead of one. Today I had a 10 AM appt at the Sawmill Rd Holiday Hair. When I arrived right on time, they were still closed. As I stood in the rain waiting for 10 minutes, my stylist casually strolled up smoking a cigarette and carrying a bag of food. I had a lot going on today and actually tried to call and ask if I could be late too, but no one answered the phone. She didn't say anything initially but when I said I had an appointment at 10 I got a quick and insincere sounding"sorry". She did not ask me my name, check me in, or have any idea what my appointment was for. She was too busy trying to set up. I told her that I wanted what I usually get, and instead of listening or looking at my card she made comments about my previous dye and tried to tell me what she thought I needed versus what I wanted. I asked for 5 to 7 small highlights because I'm pregnant and didn't want to cause harm to my unborn child and now I'm pretty much blond all over in parts of my hair. She only stopped putting them in when I said something for the third time. Because there was someone else she was also working on at the same time it took over two hours. And that's not including the time spent standing in the rain. And on top of all of it, I ended up paying $50 more than my hair usually costs. When I asked her about it she told me that the prices recently went up and shrugged. Today was completely unacceptable. For that kind of money I have my choice of multiple upscale salons in the area that I can't imagine would treat clients that way.
