Trying out a new hair stylist is always nerve wracking, but I am SO unbelievably happy with how my hair turned out. I was recommended April Howard through a friend and I can't explain how much I love my hair! I scheduled an appointment for a cut and eyebrow wax. My hair is quite thick, so I booked the last appointment in the day that way we wouldn't be pressed for time. In addition to being thick, my hair is textured and every hairdresser I've been to has never styled it in a way that suits it. It usually ends up poofy or doesn't frame my face quite right. April thinned and styled it so beautifully!! She used products that smoothed, softened, and protected my hair from heat. (That may seem like common sense, but that has not been the case in the past!) She even gave me tips on how to style my hair at home and recommended products. She also waxed my eyebrows for the very first time and they came out so clean and polished! They're not overdone or too thin. They look natural. I can't stop saying how obsessed I am with everything! We chatted it up and had a great time. We even did a little photo shoot with a ring light at the end! All in all, I spent about 2 hours there, which is probably more than normal since we talked a bunch! I am extremely pleased with the quality of care I received for the price I paid. I will certainly be returning.

This is a really cool place. If you haven't been, basically hairstylists rent a room and have their own mini salon. It's really cool to walk around the building and see all the different stylists and their unique salons. There's plenty of parking, and the building is very clean. They have seating in the hallways so you can wait for your appointment. My stylist is Emily Fisher, and she is incredible! She has such great attention to detail and is very knowledgeable about different products and services. At some point I am going to see what other small business owners are in the building. I believe there are some folks offering other services such as eyebrow wax, nails, etc.

I want to shout out loud about this Sola location. What a warm and friendly place to enjoy your beauty needs. The salon is very clean and well kept. If your looking for a great place to work, or want a professional beauty service I strongly recommend you try the Sola difference!

NOTE FOR GROUPON CUSTOMERS: The online booking software requires a $25 deposit for an appointment. The site stated I would receive that deposit back 5-7 days after I my appointment, when I showed up for it. I understand a deposit for booking something I hadn't paid for, but I purchased a Groupon which paid for the entire service in full. Why do they need more money?!? So, this business is having the use of my money for an extended period and it was not disclosed in the contract with Groupon. I tried calling the salon several times, but it would ring 3-4 times then immediately go to a busy signal. An indication they weren't taking calls. Since there was no way to book the online appointment without paying the deposit (the Groupon instructions state to book online) & I could not get any response from the salon by calling, I requested & got my money back from Groupon. I would not use this salon if there is no way to get around paying the additional deposit fee.
