Stacia is AMAZING! She really took her time to look at my hair and learn my curl pattern before she even picked up the scissors. She gave me a haircut for my hair, specialized to my curls. I got up this morning and didn't have to fight with my curls to look presentable. This salon makes product recommendations that don't feel like a sales pitch; there was no pressure to buy their products. I came away informed not stressed. The prices are such a bargain for the quality of services you get. I have found my salon! I couldn't be happier with my experience at Shag!
I agree with the prior posters as to 5 star service & results. The difference is I have STRAIGHT hair and very long (middle of my back long) and yes, I have it colored (brown to blonde). Highlights and cut is very reasonable and looks natural even growing out. Have been going to Shag since near its opening 10+ years and have never had a bad experience (yes, that good). Prior to Shag, I had tried other "long hair studios" and the high priced salons thinking they would be better but I was not pleased. Either the color was wrong or the cut was off or it just did not look right. Shag will have me for life (or at least while I am in Ohio). They know they stuff - in all lengths!
I have to agree with the previous poster. I have curly hair and call the Curly Girl Handbook my "Bible." I met a woman who told me two of the stylists at Shag were Curly Girl certified so I made an appointment. That was in 2008 or 2009, I believe. I see Maria and she is amazing. Curly hair should be cut dry so typically when she's done I don't even want the wash and style. It looks so good I just leave with it as is. The atmosphere there is so fun and friendly - I could sit there and just chat all day. I recommend this place to everyone I know, especially friends with curls! I live 70 miles from the salon and still make the trip to get my hair done there. Now that they've added the spa services it's extra amazing.
