The Hair Station in Elkridge, MD

Horrible customer service! I was so excited to schedule an appointment here and was bummed to have to cancel when my daughter woke up sick this morning with a fever. I called as soon as they opened to let them know my situation and was notified that I would be charged 25 percent of the service fee for cancelling within 24 hours. If this was something in my control- I get it. However there needs to be some grace for circumstances like this. I tried to be respectful of the stylist and her time by calling as soon as they opened to give as much notification as I could- I am beyond floored that the customer service here is so lacking and would advise everyone to beware before making an appointment here.

This shop has all the services you need. They are professional, up to date on hair styles, color and products. The staff creates a very comfortable atmosphere. I have been coming here for over four years and have been more than satisfied. Megan is awesome.

Everyone here was so sweet and welcoming. I love the way my hair turned out. I have thick, 2c/3a curly red hair and they were able to make my roots red and cut my hair by two inches. I felt that my hair dresser took her time to make sure my hair turned out perfect. I really loved the end result. My two complaints would be that I wish they used more conditioner with my hair. I have a lot of difficulty finding a hair salon that knows how to style curly hair, but I think they did good enough with blow drying and styling it. The other big complaint and the reason I gave three stars and why I won't be coming back is because mask use is not enforced here. Wearing a mask is optional. I really wanted to turn back when I stepped inside this place and realized nobody was wearing a mask, but I felt awkward about canceling my appointment the day of and while I was standing right there. I really loved this place, but I am also pregnant and so close to having a newborn. I cannot risk getting Covid. I am vaccinated and wear my mask everywhere. I appreciate when businesses enforce mask use. It makes me feel safer. But it is the business' choice if they'd like to enforce a mask rule. Unfortunately, this is the reason I can't come back, but hopefully in a different world when Covid doesn't exist anymore, I would love to come back.

I am new to the area, this salon was recommended to me and it was great! From booking my appointment, to meeting the staff and my stylist (Megan) everything was excellent. My hair is long and I'm a bit particular about my color but Megan was so friendly and listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted. The salon was beautiful and very clean, the staff was helpful during check in and check out. Highly recommend!
