Senior here now from california. Been here ever since for mens f*cked my hair up freshmen year. Ask for michael (owner) he really cares a lot about cosmetology and will take good care of you. Michael also knows about different hair types depending on your race. I am asian and we have thinner hair so if you dont know what you're doing you can really mess things up.

Michael's is amazing!! I recently went in for a major haircut (over 3 inches off) and I was nervous because I don't usually make very big changes to my hair but I'm in love! Each hairdresser will give you their full attention and are incredibly helpful in coming up with a haircut that fits the style you are looking for while also tailoring it to your hair type and face shape. After about a week of my new hair I was having difficulty styling the bottom because I was so used to having more layers. When I called to go back for a touch up they managed to see me that day with no charge and now my hair is absolutely perfect! You could not ask for a better cut or environment than at Michael's (his dog is just the cutest thing and will play with you if you're waiting for your appointment!!). The price is also really good for college students! I would not go anywhere else in the State College are than Michael's; the location is incredible and I love the people! It's always a fun visit and Michael is so funny! Cant wait until I need another haircut!

I've been in State College for about 3~4 years now and never got a haircut anywhere around here. I always waited until I had to go to New York or Philadelphia. I'm very picky when it comes to cutting my hair so I always went to the same two places in Phily and NYC. However my hair was getting too long and had no time so I decided to give this place a try. I showed Michael a picture of the cut I've wanted and he did it exactly the same. I was 120% satisfied with my hair. It's a shame that I didn't find this place sooner. Will be getting my haircut here from now on. Definitely visit here if you're new to State College. You will not be disappointed.

I've been going to Michael for about a year now (with a haircut every month). I'm always satisfied with my haircut. Seeing Clippers is a nice bonus. Overall great service at a fair price, though I do wish simple men's haircuts were at a lower price point/some sort of customer loyalty program existed.

the guy kept taking appointments on the phone while washing my air and cutting it. Then he says .."you are taking too much of my time". Cut was OK, but attitude was terrible.
