I have been seeing Phil for blowouts and cuts for a year now, and he always kills it. He puts so much effort into making my hair look the absolute best! I always feel amazing and get so many compliments after I leave his chair.
I've been getting my hair cut and colored at Salon Buzz for several years. Love the stylists. I would recommend for a high-end salon. They should offer sparkling water not tap water in a glass. Class it up a bit.
Emily legit is the best colorist in Chicago. I came to her after having a total botch job which ended up turning my highlighted/natural brown hair ... BLACK...like a weird-and very permanent-magenta black! It was awful and it took weeks to find the right person to do a color correction. Emily was super reassuring that she could fix my hair and also very honest that I might need a few visits as to not fry my hair! Well, here I am after only 2 times seeing Emily and my hair is perfection! Somehow she got me back to my original hair without ANY damage at all. I will never stray from Emily... she is a gem!
My first review was removed. It was detailed and not sure why it was removed. But here we go again. This place is awful. The service was terrible. Steve and Sergio were rude and unfit to do hair. I called months in advance to have extensions put in and an up do for. Black tie event. First Sergio yelled at staff saying he shouldn't be doing up dos. He didn't know how to braid. Wut. Umm. Ok. Then sent to Steve. Rude. Rushed. Incompetent. Didn't curl my hair. Didn't spray my hair. Criticized my hair bc it was too thin and he only had 20 min for me. Told me my hair extensions were inappropriate and he didn't have time to spray me and to do it myself. Ru kidding. $150 for this shoddy job. My make up artist was so embarrassed for me. She said she's no longer sending clients there. I legit sobbed after walking out. I was in complete shock of being treated like trash. The only trash is this place. Avoid!!
In Chicago for a wedding - made a last-minute appt with Cressida. I don't typically enjoy being in a salon or getting my hair done. What a difference the stylist can make. She was no-nonsense listened to what I needed and then took my hair to the next level. The salon was gorgeous but Cressida was amazing. Highly recommend!!!!
