I was made to feel guilty about posting a bad review about a black business. So I wanted to fix it but after the response I got from the owner I don't feel that way anymore . I want to share some of the text messages she wrote to me because I felt I was overcharged. Read them and you make the decision rather not you want to go there. This is the owner reply to my question do a 50.00 overcharge: ANGELA-People who don't ask questions about pricing typically don't care about pricing. I'm not showing up to a fancy restaurant on a budget and not asking questions about pricing. And when the bill comes of it's more than I expected I'm not going to leave them a terrible review because I would've felt like I should've asked. ANGELA-If 599 clients came to my salon in the month of December and felt they were given good service at a fair price then why should I focus on the one that didn't ? (Pray your not that 1) ANGELA-You think because you patronize my business I should do what you want and that's not true. You think because you patronize my business the customer is al and right and that's not true. (This levels of unprofessionalism is what hurts your business not my review.) There is numerous texts messages even after I didn't reply she continued to disrespect me all because I asked about an unknown price.

Well let me start off by saying it's not a very nice salon. The pictures were nice but they tricked me! The person who shampooed my hair kept it in and did not rinse it out. The stylist didn't know anything about the style I was trying to achieve. And to top it all off, I paid $25 to have a 'consultation ' about my hair over the phone, $45 just to keep the appointment I booked and $90 for a service that sucked!!!! All in all I paid for upscale service and got the worst hair experience of my life!!!

I've gone here several times with varying levels of satisfaction but this last time is officially my final visit. Too hard to make and confirm an appointment (hint: it should be done all at one as quickly as possible!), overpriced, inconsistent hairstyle results and you never get the same stylist, which is frustrating because you don't consistently get someone who knows your hair. I paid $350 for a style that has cost me $180 at another salon and the results at the other shop were neater, cleaner and more professionally done. Why am I wasting my money here? Don't do it.

I scheduled an appointment via the virtual assistant and was told that the stylist, Olympia, was available at 6p for a flexirod set the next day. I received a quick call from them and was told that I needed to do a virtual hair assessment before the appointment. I told them I also needed a trim and that I would be fine with a flexirod or permrod set. I did the virtual assessment the next morning and they asked when I wanted to come in. After I told this lady that was doing the assessment that I was told 6p, she went off screen for a while and then she told me that I should come at 6:30p. When I arrived for my appointment Olympia was still working on someone else's hair. Which was fine but it took her another 30 mins. I didn't get shampooed until 7p. She was also the only one in the salon so she was splitting her time between washing my hair and doing a detox on someone else's hair that got there about the same time as me. I told her when I was at the shampoo bowl that I wanted flexirods. When it was time to actually style my hair, now a little after 8p I told her that I needed a trim as well and she said she did not have time to do a trim because she's supposed to get off at 9p. I also did not get a deep condition, so it should not have been an hour shampoo. After deciding I wasn't getting a trim, even though that was the reason why I was going to the salon in the first place, she then kept trying to convince me to get a coil out because it would take less time to put in and less time to dry. I asked her if it would still be similar to the way flexirods look afterwards and she said it would. She showed me a picture of "clients hair from earlier in the day that has the same texture as mine but has shorter hair". The finished product looked nothing like the way she did her clients hair and it definitely was no where near a flexirod set. After being at that shop for 4 hours and 15 mins, I got a terrible hairstyle. It looked like I had just taken off a helmet. She kept saying it would get bigger and have more volume when it gets older. As I was paying and preparing to leave she told me that if I wanted flexirods for next time that I need to schedule an appointment at 5 or 530p. Why would the people that scheduled my appointment make my appointment so late if that was the case. It was clear that I wanted flexirods. I only got this coil out because she kept trying to push it on me and it was awkward. So now I'm out $135 and over 5 hours because I had to go home and fix my hair after wasting my money. Extremely disappointed in my experience. That was my first and last time going to them.

Proceed with caution. Paid close to $200 for a simple wash and go. I came here because my regular stylist is out sick at the moment. Before you book an appointment as a new client, you have to do a hair "assessment" which is a $25 fee. This money is not put towards your hair appointment. The hair assessment consisted of her asking me what style I wanted, when I wanted to come in, and wanted to see my hair. LOL. That could have all been done over the phone or text message. Felt like just another opportunity to make money. The salon is small but a nice atmosphere. My stylist Samantha was pleasant; however, my wash left much to be desired. I tried to tell her in many different ways that I needed a more vigorous wash since I sweat a lot and she continued to "wash" my hair with a light touch. One of the main joys of going to get your hair done is a good wash and I was very disappointed. I had to ask for a towel on two occasions as product and water dripped onto my shirt. Lastly, I was not told that a deep condition was an extra $30. Overall very disappointing.
