Nice Nails in Silver Spring, MD

This nail salon is so unsanitary. They do not sterilize any of the their tools. In addition to that the wife is incredibly rude, she has the most disgusting personality I've ever seen on someone who is in the service industry, I understand we all have bad days but this seems to be her mood all the time. I had to have her stop doing my nails in the middle of a full set today because she was so aggressive and rough on my fingers. Their prices are pretty high compared to everybody else in the area I don't think it's justified because they're doing nails out of their basement. I will never go back here and you probably shouldn't either unless you're trying to catch something. I really feel like I deserved a refund but they still charge me even though they did not finish the job

I got gel nails and the final result could've been much better. It is not expensive, so that is a plus

Let me say first "never judge a book by its cover". I recently relocated back to the Takoma Park/Silver Spring area and was looking for a nail spot. Low and behold, I found something right around the corner from my home. As mentioned by a few posts here, Nice Nails is a small home based business. With that understanding, I wasn't expecting flash and glam when I walk into the space. David was the nail tech that served me with my mani/pedi. One of things I look for with my mani/pedi are the stroke used when polishing. My polished nails lasted a good week with minimal chipping and could have pushed for 2 weeks, I was impressed. Nice Nails way of nail prep and polishing beats the appearance of the space.

Beware! This is NOT a salon. This is a house basement with one chair, very packed with other stuff the owner sells, old and worn furniture, and doesn't look clean. I was shocked when I walked in a couple of months ago and my gut was to turn around and leave. I was desperate so I stayed. The manicure and pedicure were not great but did the job. I was just happy I survived. These reviews all seem fake to me. Honestly, this is the only review I've ever written on Yelp.

I have been there three times now and each time I have seen Mr. David.. he is very kind and if you tell him what you like and explain it to him or see if he's going the wrong direction and let him know then he will listen to you and give you what you want!! ..he did an amazing job on my nails you can't tell too much from these pictures because I Snapshot them from a Snapchat video but they change colors depending on your lighting and they are beyond beautiful I highly recommend this nail salon and trust me I've been to more nail salons in my life than you can imagine and the prices are beyond worth it
