I had by far the worst customer service experience at Turning Point Salon. I was waiting with wet hair for about 30 minutes. I pointed it out to Tonya who was the one I had the appointment with. She became anger, loud and defensive and told me bluntly that I was lying about the time. How long does it take to wash and blow dry another person with close to shoulder length hair? That's how long I sat there, not with a steam cap under a blow dryer, just sat there cold with wet hair until the conditioner was almost dry on my hair. She was impossible to reason with or get a word in to pacify the situation. Her coworkers all looked away while she yelled and carried on about her 20 years as a hair dresser and was never told by a customer that they waited long and that I can have someone else in the salon finish my hair or leave. I guess her treatment of customers represents that of her coworkers as well. I was close to tears at the end of the encounter.

I've been going to Turning Point for about 2 years now. Friendly environment and appointments meet my busy schedule. Any service you're looking for there is a stylist that can accommodate. It was supper hard to find a stylist in Silver Spring and I am happy to know my hair has a place to call home.
I have been coming to this salon for so long I forget when I first came in. I was first introduced by way of my mother who was starting to lock her hair. She was recommended to the shop and to Barbra (the shops owner). Since then I have enjoyed excellent hair services from Barbra. I usually come to the shop now two to three times a year since I am out of town for school. I get my hair in two strand twists or a press and curl. Anytime I come out the shop my hair is laid. What I love the most about the shop is that as a woman who doesn't put in chemicals in her hair and chose to go natural years ago, I feel at home. They close attention to the care of your hair and use quality products. If I had to recommend my shop to anyone I would do so with pleasure
