There's a young woman who works here and is really good, but if she's not in, save your money and go elsewhere. It doesn't even look like the Dominicans did my hair lol. I could have gotten it straighter at home and I have to go touch my own hair up around the perimeter smh
Im an African American lady and I had a HORRIBLE experience here. I was treated mean and aggressive because my hair was not straight enough for them. My head was pushed carelessly from side to side. It was combed aggressively and I expressed my anger. I was literally about to leave after the wash but realized it was Sunday and if I left I probably wouldn't get my hair done anywhere else. So she tried to be a little nicer and play it off after I was about to leave. Also she gave me a discount because she knew she was dead wrong. I WILL NEVERRRR GO THERE AGAIN! Ever.
If you're a natural or have type 4 hair, DO NOT come to this salon. I always try to give Dominican hair shops the benefit of the doubt but they always fail me every time. The lack of communication and disrespect that they show people of color is ridiculous. I only wanted a wash and set and they charged me $85, which is ridiculous knowing at other places charge less but I needed it to be done so I didn't mind. Then after washing to blow dry I told the stylist to add heat protectant on my sisters hair and she didn't speak English. I told the owner & it was like I was bothering them. I then asked to trim the damaged parts and she literally just snipped the ends. I'm not paying $85 to just snip the ends so I asked again and again it was a bother. I paid the 85$ and left no tip. The $$ isn't the issue it's all about how you treat your customers. I don't appreciate or respect this business & if you're someone who cares about your type 4 hair or the quality of business you shouldn't support them either.
She knows how to deal with all kinds of hair. Definitely worth going there. Te suggestion are always to perfection because she wants your hair to be as healthy and pretty when you walk out.
