Holiday Hair Salon in State College, PA

If I could give a ZERO score I would. I had an appointment today, Sunday, November 5, at 2:30 - with a stylist named Tammy. I arrived at 2:20 to find the store locked and dark. The store hours posted were clearly listed as open until 4:00. Despite me having a written confirmation, I was never notified via phone or email about any issues. I am leaving for vacation tomorrow, and am appalled that a salon would do this!

Well, I've had Tammy several times now at Colonnade state college. She has done a great job on my hair. I have gotten compliments from people that I don't even know about my hair.. She takes her time and works diligently on me. great job. Jan R.

It's a decent and affordable place. Yes, they don't chat with you, but I actually like it. All I wanted was a haircut and not an overly friendly conversation with lots of personal questions. I see that many people complain about that but I think I'll come back. I like the haircut they gave me, and that's all that matters to me.

So, I walked in to get a haircut. Wait was short(now I know why). All I asked for was a simple fade. Haircut 101 for a hairstylist. Not friendly at all, pretty much ignored me while talking to another employee while switching back grumpily telling me to tilt my head. Then when she said she was done I almost laughed (nervously) because I thought there was no way in hell she could be. So I asked her to fix the fade because she went from using a 0 to a 3 without using a 1 or 2 to gradually fade it. Not only was the right side fade different than the left. She left hairs that don't belong on a fade. It looked like a one handed monkey cut my hair. I decided to just go home and fix it myself because her attempt at fixing it was embarrassing for everyone. Will NEVER go here again, and I highly suggest you don't either. Because from the conversations I heard I wasn't the only unhappy customer that day.

They screwed up my husband's bangs. I told the lady to keep the length but she kept trimming until it became crooked and now my husband looks like he has a brick head. He doesn't look good for our Christmas trip because of the hairdresser!! I am still upset and keep telling my husband that I want to go back and get my $4 tip back. The hairdresser also asked how I was related to my husband and she guessed we were just friends little did she know that we have been married for almost 5 years. To me, that is kinda inappropriate. Please do not guess the relationship status of the customer!!! And I still want to be refunded!!!
