Went here for a hair cut recently and they ruined my hair. They absolutely do not know how to do fading, edges, or any sort of line up. Don't go here if you're picky with your hair
Other hair places in State College try to play up the whole "man thing." But they are jabroni, wanna-be, know-nothings compared to the Gentleman's Salon. Gentlemen's Salon doesn't serve beer. But really, do you want a haircut or some cheap swill from a 2 month old keg on a keg-a-rator that probably hasn't had it's lines cleaned since Christ walked the earth? You're a professional, not a day drunk reprobate... so a free pint of garbage beer shouldn't tempt you at 1:00PM. Also, they trim beards. I mean REAL beards. The big, bushy, man beards worn by adults and not the little nut dusters favored by day drinking frat boys. I've never had to wait when making an appointment. The owner will go that extra step to make sure you get quality prompt service even if it means doing it herself on her day off. No absentee management in this joint. I rate 5/5. Glad this place exists.

Just moved to the area and needed to find a new place to get my hair cut. After going to the same barber for years, I had a certain apprehension in finding someone else I could trust. Enter The Gentleman's Salon. Emily looked at my hair, heard what I wanted, suggested something that would look better until my hair was the proper length for what I wanted, and did her work. Great customer service! I'll be back in the future for the rest of my time here in State College.
