So many other, better choices for a haircut in State College! I stopped in for a buzzcut, which unfortunately seemed like a foreign concept to the hair cutter. She was quick, but sloppy, and she couldn't quite trim around my ears evenly. I won't be going back to this Supercuts.
Supercuts is essentially a step above a barber but below a salon. Angela is attentive and efficient and will give you a decent cut. Get yourself a rinse out because it will make your day. You can walk in and be helped as soon as someone is available which is really convenient. Remember you are not at a salon! Bottom line good cut for a good price. Save money on a haircut and score yourself something useful like a good pair of headphones with the savings.
They say you get what you pay for, but I still feel like $18 was too expensive for the results I got. All I asked for was a simple trim with some layers at the end. What I got was a blunt cut and left still with a wet head of hair after I asked her to blow dry it completely. There was a customer waiting at the receptionist desk, so it was evident the hairdresser was rushing at the end to finish and assist the other customer. The woman was nice, but that doesn't count for much when my hair came out looking the way it did. Will have to another salon, which I should have just done in the first place.
Best to spend a bit more money and go to a proper hair salon instead. I asked for hair color to match my natural dark blonde, and ended up a brunette/red head!!! Went back twice looking for improvement, and it only got worse! It took hundreds of dollars in a proper salon to fix the mistake. Don't make my mistake - look for a full-service salon that offers free consultations and stands behind their work.
Great location and shop. Came in to get trimmed up while visiting State College. Got right in for a haircut. Quick service. Did a great job on the hair. Tip: free shampoo on your first visit to this location.
