Hair Cuttery in Gainesville, FL

Today is my second time here. I wanted to cut my hair short and a bit of a layer. I told the lady who cut my hair. She barely listened and did whatever the way she wanted but in the end, my hair was still the same length. I scheduled on the website 28$ for regular cuts, shampoo, and blow dry. She ended up charging me 54$ and I tipped another 20%. I'm so disappointed. Until now I still haven't received the receipt yet. She said would send it to my email. I feel like I paid money and got nothing done.

Received outst service from Micaela! Will definitely do it again in the future. The place has a very friendly atmosphere.

Do not go to this HairCuttery for a blow out... I went in with curly medium length to long hair for a blowout for graduation and it ended up being flat ironed and I was told that my hair couldn't be blown out with wave because I have grey hair. The worst part is I am a licensed cosmetologist of 30 +years. I thought I was going to treat myself to having my hair done. $70 for a flat iron. Hair Cuttery should be ashamed...

My boyfriend went in with very long hair, past his shoulders. He likes his length, just wanted a little off and out of his eyes. He walked out with practically a buzz cut with a poof ball on top. He showed his stylist, an older lady, a picture that she said was not compatible with his hair type despite the fact that the man in the picture looked to have exactly the same type of hair as my boyfriend. He asked her what would look good if she couldn't do the picture and she just said "idk". She washed his hair twice, was very harsh with pulling his hair, and didn't really ask him anything before taking off like 6+ inches. He tried to be polite and start conversations with her but she ignored him and was instead talking to her next hair appointment. We just wish she would have said that she didn't know how to do longer men's hair, because we would have understood and gone somewhere else/found something else that was more along the lines of what he wanted. He's not one to complain, so he just left and gave her a $6 tip on a $26 cut that he hates to which she replied "oh ok" with an attitude. This also isn't the first time my friend group has been here and gotten a bad haircut from this stylist.
