Fancy Nail Spa in Gainesville, FL

A very kind woman prepped my nails while the man who did my nails (I think the manager) was finishing up another guest. I would be fine with this normally but it seemed she wasn't trained in putting tips on and she struggled through it. She was very sweet, but she glued two of my fingers together and it was made me very anxious and it hurt. She also cut me with the drill. I would have been happy just to wait for the nail tech who does full sets to apply the tips. It took at least fifteen minutes to get through the tip application process alone. Then I sat in her chair and waited while he finished the client next to me. When he began on my nails he hardly said to words two words to me and he cut me with the drill twice in the same spot I was initially cut. He did not address it or apologize until he buffed over it with his dirty buffer. I am really unsure of the sanitary practices at this place. He finally apologized and he did apply an antiseptic. I was literally tearing up because it hurt and I was incredibly anxious at this point. He continued the silent, awkward service without even allowing me to check the shape. He was also very rough moving my hands around. In my opinion, my nails look terrible and they have no apex and they are likely to break. They are lumpy and I just hate them. I give myself zero stars for not stopping the service when I knew it wasn't going well and I definitely would give this salon a -1 if I could.

Let me start by saying I our this place. It's convenient. I first went to get my dip. I bring my own and all is good. Mike was the best for that. His process stayed the longes, no lifting, or irregulars. I got my pedicure from Calvin. It was amazing and lasted a long time. So I've gotten dip and gel polish on my toes, no issues. This last time, it's been a week now, I got a regular polish pedicure with Mike. It was a amazing! The massage of my legs with the sea salt (xtra $5 of course) was extra special. I just knew it was gonna be a good thing! I had Mike!!! I used their polish, OPI Sun, Sea & Sand in my Pants. I wanted to get gel, but I needed it fresh for my trip at the end of the year. The color is a pretty yellow. I don't know if they are used to using gel or prefer you to use gel but the polish was horrible! I knew it would be and tried to tell Mike that but it was like I didn't know what I was talking about or he felt after the top coat it will work itself out. Not all colors are that way. Some colors are harder to paint than others. Kiss me I'm Brazilian is one too. You have to let each coat dry before doing another one. If you don't, you see the brush strokes. They don't look seamless/flawless. If the polish was too thick, since it was their's, they could have thinned it out. I knew before I left it would dry badly and today it looks the same. There aren't any recent reviews, is the reason why I am leaving this one. Hopefully you can zoom in and see the imperfections that I can.

i went there before and they rlly messed my nails up. Mike said to come by and he'd fix them. my nails have been done maybe a week. not even 2. i has to repaint one of my fingers bc the polish was coming off. and i pay extra for gel so that wouldn't happen. and not to mention AGAIN my toe had a a bubble under the paint. and it has popped so now there's a extra clear coat on top to hold the paint on correctly. i'm very aggravated. i spent over $70 there last time and i wish i never did.

Went to get a wax. They had me wash my hands. Whatever. THREE sitting there and only one customer in the building there's a reason. I can take my business elsewhere no problem

Not a relaxing experience. One Tv had Jerry Springer and the other TV had a violent movie. Staff laid around on the massage chairs sleeping and listening to videos on their phones. One staff member had his shoes in the pedicure tub, and the other was walking around in his socks. The equipment is dirty and supplies are cheap. My manicure was overpriced and my dip manicure was not the color I chose.
