Color Lounge Nails in Morris Plains, NJ

My review is based upon how the owner and her side kick treated their employees in front of me today. I have been going here since i moved into the area back in March and have been generally satisfied w the services . however after the display of disrespect the owner showed reprimanding not 1 but 2 employees in front of me today I will NEVER go back there and support their business. Once she threatened to take out of the employe's pay the mischarge for a service if she does it again. Not sure what the second incident was about but the employee was told to "look at my eyes when I speak to you. You hear me?" The employee just finished my pedicure and was verY softspoken. She did excellent work btw. I don't care what she did, the way she was spoken down to, like a child was completely unacceptable. Both of these employees were new to the establishment. I made a comment to the sidekick who was doing my manicure that that was no way to speak to staff and she just grumbled under her breath at me.

Beyond not impressed... my nails look like they were done by a kid!! although the place is beautiful and the nail tech that worked on my nails was super sweet, but the shape and length of my nails were definitely not $62 worth. The owner came to adjust the shape but at that point they were already too short and bubbly. She also went on to say i didn't know how to ask for what I wanted... for someone that's been getting their nails done for over 25 years I think I know how my nails should look. When I went to pay she said tip had to be cash and as the owner watched me take money out of the atm she didn't feel the need to tell me to just pull the whole amount out because they also charge a $2.50 service fee to use your credit cards. That is bad business!!!

Just moved from Hoboken, wanted to try to find a new salon. This was not it. It was not super clean, the walls were dented, and it was very confusing on what is and not included in a pedicure. If you don't get the $55 dollar pedicure nothing is done. Anyways, maybe I'm used to city service and not suburbs service. Won't be back.

BEST IN MORRIS COUNTY! I have been coming to this nail salon for about two years. Their level of service and quality is incomparable to any of the other salons in the area. Ginny, the owner, always accommodates me with or without an appointment. As a new mom with two small kids at home I can't always schedule in advance; her care and willingness to always fit me in means a lot! They are wonderful, friendly, super clean and up to date with style!
