Was recommended by a co-worker to get a major hair cut her name was Yvette. I went to see her a week before she did this messed up job and I explained everything and how to work with my hair, can you do a wet set not problem so she said she could do it . The cut even though it wasn't what I wanted It looked ok before I paid and left the shop but after being out of the shop for about twenty minutes I had to go back because it was all other the place something didn't ad up because my hair was drawing up in the wrong direction. by the time I got back to the shop it looked like she was trying to bring the SALT and Pepa look back. She tried to clean it up but that was a fail. She was so sure and so positive even as I kept telling her my hair is deceiving despite how long and wavy it was. She cut me and my sisters hair both cuts are horrible my sister is afraid to wash hers still because of the demi, four days later the color was gone and she didn't even wash it most of it was in the comb and on her hands.. She cut all the hair off before processing because she said because didn't want to waste relaxer, approx. 8 inches. I don't believe that she used the relaxer I requested. The cut (I mean Hack) and style did not look nothing like the photo, The relaxer did not take because she didn't work the perm through like I told her. When I washed it looked like the Tina Turner review, so why do I have scabs on my scalp. I believe She just hacked my hair and tried to cover up the mistake by cutting more. She didn't rinse the demi color because I had the dye left on my comb after frantically trying to fix me and my sister's hair which was another fail. I called her when I got home to ask her how was I supposed to wrap my hair and she didn't answer til the next day and said she would call me after she got out of church. ( I bet she was praying that I didn't come back to beat her ass) She finally called and said meet me at the shop, she finally took my advice and called herself wet setting like I asked in the first place but with an attitude. I thought she didn't want to do it at first because she was fat and lazy the first day but come to find out she didn't even know how to, I had to tell her how to do it and it took almost 35 minutes. another fail. Called her to let her know that it still was a fail and it and went to a full mail box, she never tried to reach out the second time to see if she could fix it, compensate me or my sister. I can't even get it re- cut by someone else no time soon because I have to wait so it doesn't get more damaged from her half ass relaxing and demi rinse job. $230.00lllll later . and I am still nice about it, but how ghetto can you be, You would have thought she would have been concerned. Nope !!! I should have known from her jacked up ass hair do and the uncleanliness of the of this place and the neighborhood of the salon. Stay away from this salon, this pit unless you want the jacked up DIRTY LOOKING dread lock and shaven head HAIR style that she is rocking The lesson I just learned is just because you have a license doesn't mean you can cut all types of hair and style REAL HAIR . Everyone in the different shops I went to get it fixed recommends to cut the rest off and start over and say her license needs to be revoked. . I have been to five different shops and 3 different Sally's showing everyone I can what a jacked up job she has done so I hope her name is on the streets of newport news, the city is not that big. The only reason I am posting this is because of her sub standard service and attitude, and I'd hate to see someone go through the same experience. My poor co worker feels so bad as if it is her fault. Good news is that my hair grows fast and have a good job because if I didn' t or this would have happened to anyone one else, she would still be feeling an ass kicking. What a great disappointment, she is straight up garbage/dumbster material And she claimed she was worried about her reputation what a joke!
