Natalie is fantastic! I had a bizarre situation where my prior hair stylist quit suddenly after 15 years! No notice. I scrambled and went to a couple of places but it was an awful time. My hair was a mess for like 5 months! I researched and researched and wasn't confident about any place until I read the reviews for Yello and saw the pics and I was sure this would be a great place.
To be clear, I'm a picky gal originally from NYC. I worked in the fashion industry. I like nice people who are earnest. I took a rush and scheduled with Natalie who didn't have reviews yet but was first available ....but took a chance since I figured this was the kind of salon who would only hire someone stellar. I've been coloring my hair for nearly 30 years- NYC, Phoenix, Portland. No one has done such a fab job on a first try. And I was coming in with some banding from the switches and serious awful roots and some recent health changes that complicated my hair. She was so kind and lovely and really listened to what had happened and where I wanted to be and she made it happen! Best birthday present to me this week was Yello and Natalie. I saw the other stylists do their magic on a few other awesome ladies. Pretty sure you can't go wrong here. This is NYC quality hair- something you can't find anywhere else in Portland. Also, I hardly ever write reviews....but I felt I had to recognize awesome.
Was really happy with my hair cut. Stylist (Natalie) listened to my explanation and inspo photos and created exactly what I want, potentially even better than what I originally imagined. Super kind staff & very nice space as well.
Really happy that I took my friends advice and tried out Yello Salon. Natalie did a full baby highlight and made me WAY blonde, which I love. Can't wait to go back and see her in March for a follow up!

Cute salon, very welcoming. The vibe is relaxed and cheerful, and everyone that I interacted with was friendly. Kaylee, the owner, was able to listen to my vague idea for my hair and give me an amazing cut and highlights. I have already booked my next appointment!
Went and got a haircut and touch up highlights with Devon yesterday and OH MY GOODNESS I am in love. Devon did an amazing job and gave me great recommendations for products. The salon was very clean and definitely complied with covid restrictions and sanitation. I will absolutely be returning and requesting Devon!
