VIP Nails and Spa in Portland, OR

I've been going to this place for several years and they never disappoint. Very consistent and the environment is nice and the ladies who work here are awesome. Their pricing is very clear and they explain any up charges for ad ons before moving forward.

I got this full set with chrome done yesterday and Kim did such an amazing job. I've never had prettier nails!

I want to give the salon five stars because I just had the best acrylic fill and gel polish I have ever had, anywhere. Holly, who did my nails did a beautiful job. We didn't talk much during my visit which is cool. I didn't point out anything wrong whatsoever. At one point I asked her to round the tips just a tiny bit more, but that was it. And when we were done I told her that I'm normally a picky client and finding a new nail tech makes me nervous, but these are so beautiful and I love them! When I was cashing out I thanked her and told her I would definitely be back. That's when she told me she wasn't comfortable doing my nails again. I was so confused because nothing happened. Nothing! We didn't even converse back-and-forth. I wasn't watching her while she was working, or point out a single thing wrong. Did I smell bad?? I asked if I had done something to offend or upset her And she told me it was because I told her I was a picky client. I reiterated that they're perfect and she did an amazing job, but she said she's not comfortable. I am so sad and trying to figure out if there's might be something else that I did wrong. Maybe she's afraid that I won't be happy in the future and doesn't want to deal with that. I feel soooo disappointed. It's so hard to find someone who does such a good job and she nailed it. No pun intended. I work two doors down at a hair salon and this was going to be such a perfect fit, so conveniently located with a talented tech. I still recommend the salon. I have no complaints really, just disappointed and don't understand why she would send a new client away just because at the end of the service they describe themselves as typically picky. I'm only giving three stars for that reason. After all, clients do have a right to be picky about certain things. That's normal.

I have been coming here regularly for a few months and have always had a great experience. I get dip nails and they last for weeks.

Relaxing and accommodating.  Always do a great job with my toes and didn't feel rushed.  I always call ahead and they are able to get me in within hours.

Really exceptionally clean environment. You get a free drink with it and mimosas were on the list. I went in for a walk-in pedicure and while they didn't have capacity then they got me scheduled for a short time after. The pedicure was smooth and I like the massage chair more here than most places. Tammy did a great job and had a high level of attention to detail. She did a number of coats on the nail polish that I picked out. My leg massage was better than average. It's in the hood so I'll definitely be going back for my next pedicure.
