T&T Nails in Roanoke, VA

First experience at T&T, and I will never be back. Their mani & pedi is more expensive than ANYWHERE else I've ever been, and it was extremely rushed and absolutely not worth the money or my time. The male nail tech was RUSHING me through like I was on an assembly line. He didn't even wait 30 seconds on the UV lamp before switching to the other side. I don't think this polish will last. I was in and out in less than an hour for a spa mani and pedi that cost $105!! Nope. I'll never go here again, and hope I'm saving someone else the time and money too. Go anywhere else.

I have never had a worse experience at a nail salon. I've been getting my nails done for years, and in a pinch decided to give this salon a try. Never ever again. My mother and I came in for manicures and pedicures. We walked in and a man yelled from the middle of the salon what we would like, I said we'd both like pedicures and before I could get the rest out, he told us to pick our colors. We sat down in the pedicure chairs a few minutes later and told them we would like manicures too. There was no issue, they told us the pricing and we made our decisions. I planned to get a full set. The pedicure I received was arguably not even a "pedicure". I'm really not picky when it comes to pedicures because I like any and all pampering, but the man (the owner?) that was doing it was barely touching my feet with the lotion. I couldn't really relax because he was touching me so lightly I wasn't sure what he was doing. I asked for him to file my toenails instead of cut them. Maybe this made him irritated but I didn't notice. After he finished my toes, he told me to go sit in the chair for the manicure. I sat down and when he came over I asked if I could soak my nails in water first because my cuticles need some help. He got up, turned back around and then sits back down and nastily says "you didn't say you wanted a manicure when you came in". I was confused and told him I was sorry, but we did tell them what we wanted. I then asked "Can you not do them?" He kept going off on me and giving me snarky looks while filing one of my nails down to a nub. He kept saying that I didn't let them know what I wanted. I said "You know, if you don't want to do my nails you don't have to." He stood up again and slammed down the nail file. I walked back over to my mom, and sat down on the pedicure chair I was sitting in previously, and he yelled across the salon for me to get up and sit in the corner by the door. Everyone was staring and I was extremely embarrassed. I did nothing wrong, and should NEVER have been treated that way. The other man that was doing my mom's nails was explaining the situation to her, and kept saying "he's saying you didn't tell us what you wanted. Hope you understand". No. We don't understand. I got up from my time out chair, and went over to the man that was doing her nails and told him "I am not okay with how that was handled." He said "I just work here." He rushed through my mom's pedicure to get us out the door and we paid and left. He kept saying he hoped we understood and sorry. I have no earthly idea how they have the "Best of Roanoke 2023" award. Like I actually cannot wrap my mind around how that happened. I can name 5 nail salons that are so much better in the area with employees/owners that are KIND to paying customers and not ugly to them. I should also mention this is the most expensive nail salon that we've ever been to. For what?? Please don't go here. Not even in a pinch like we did! Unless you want to be yelled at, embarrassed for asking for a dang bowl of water, and pay for a $65 pedicure that was worth nothing. I should not have had to pay for my pedicure for the treatment I received. I have friends that have gone here, and they have vowed to never go again after hearing about our awful experience. I hope this catches on and they realize they can't just do whatever they want and get away with it.

Pro: They are always accommodating, and quick to get you in. Con: However for the price you pay I feel they skip certain services that should be part of a manicure. I went for a manicure and getting my natural nail dipped. But there was NO manicuring. There was no addressing my jagged cuticles, the nails were not shaped evenly on a single nail or consistently from nail to nail. And after application of the dip and various polishes, there was zero clean up around the finger. I have no complaint of the product itself; I can tell the dip is going to last and my nails feel strong and hard. But for 45$ it feels like they don't do the bare minimum and are trying to squeak out as much money with the least amount of work. I've had a few experiences here, the pedicure was better than the manicure. It's possible it comes down to the technician and lack of oversight. I've had two pedicures there and the one done by a female was way better than the male (who also coincidentally did my nails) Edit: my friend who went with me got tips and gel, her nail chipped within the first six hours of wear.

I went to T & T nails about 3 years ago, they started going downhill. Today I needed my nails done BADLY & decided to give them another try because the 2 other salons I had tried before were all booked up. I walked in & wasn't greeted. I was immediately told "pick a color". I show an inspiration picture which was tips with a square shape & light pink color, because I thought "Michael" the employee would know which colors they had better to match than I did. After I sat down he didn't peel my nails at all, no cuticle push back or anything!!! He began gluing the tips CROOKED & when I said something he said it was my finger that was crooked!!!! When I said NO, you can clearly tell it's the tip, he became angry and slammed my fingers into the acetone to soak the tips off. He was about to start reapplying tips, I straightened my arm & he WENT OFF & screamed at me in front of other customers & said "SINCE I CANT HELP YOU & DO IT RIGHT HOW YOU LIKE MY COWORKER WILL DO IT FOR YOU", I replied with "actually I will take my business elsewhere!" He jerked my hands & cut my tips so jagged and left my nails looking like this!!!!!!! The owner his "coworker" WATCHED AND DIDNT SAY A WORD!!!!! Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY/BUSINESS on this disrespectful, rude, nasty place!!! MICHAEL IS A TERRIBLE WORKER!!!!! I told my MIL about him & she said he has worked in almost every nail salon in Roanoke/vinton but gets fired because he's mentally unstable/rude/nasty!!!! I hope I can save someone else from this horrible horrible experience! I was so upset, angry, & embarrassed!! THANK GOD I ended up seeing JACKIE & JENNY @ Q nails on Hershberger Rd, they fixed them so nicely & for a great price!

Not one to complain. However, on behalf of my wife, I will. Waste of money. Gel nail quality seemed cheap in performance related to other salons. Gel showed signs of failure on second day. Will NOT be going back for any remedy.
