Shear Artistry Salon & Spa in Goleta, CA

I have to say Molly is a great Hair stylist, I wish she would style hair at another salon so we could use her... The Front Staff and most of the staff in the front are so rude and are more concerned with rolling of the eyes behind "There own Customers" made me feel so sick, i would never go back. Listening to the conversations of the front desk and the lack of respect to there customers if more then anyone should have to deal with. . This was not the first time this has happened. I would Never go back and Never recommend this hair salon. With so many other salons in the area, We as customers have a choice, The choice should not be this Place.!!!

I was in the area attending a Holiday Party at the Bacara Resort & Spa. Coming in from out of town, I was not able to make an appointment at the resort for hair & makeup prior to the event. I searched on Yelp for advice on a local salon that could do both. I feel very fortunate to have found Shear Artistry. Susan is an absolutely artist when it comes to up-dos. She takes the time to recommend what style would compliment your face and bone structure. She has the skill of someone who knows her profession well and the personality of someone who genuinely cares about her customers. (I later learned that Susan is the owner of the salon.) After my hair, I was brought to the makeup station where Shannon took care of me. Don't let her youthful appearance fool you. She is someone who can create just the right look for your special occasion. I wanted something that would compliment my evening gown but also give me fresh new look. Shannon did a great job and meeting both my needs. She was bright and cheerful. You could tell she loves what she does. At the end of my services, I left the salon feeling like I underpaid. Both hair and makeup were very reasonably priced especially for the Santa Barbara, California market. I would recommend Shear Artistry again and again. If you are in the area and looking for a new place to get your hair done or, like me, from out of town attending a special event, do yourself a favor and visit Susan at Shear Artistry. You won't be disappointed.

I went in here for a haircut the other day. My hair was cut by Shannon, a young stylist. She was friendly and only cut my hair as much as a wanted, not too short at all. I told her I don't like the blunt straight across look so she made the bottom choppy for me. I am usually really bummed after getting a haircut but this time I actually feel much better with my hair! the shop looks fine but I saw a sign in there that said they would be moving nearby and getting a bigger salon and would start doing nails, might have to check that out.

Went in for a men's haircut, and can say I'm very happy with the cut. My hair is on the longer side, and I felt Tracy did a great job with it. Everyone was friendly, and was able to make a same-day appointment easily. It was a little on the pricey-er side at 30 dollars for a men's haircut (and shampoo). But that's not too bad for the quality you receive.

I have been coming here for a decade. Traci has done an outstanding job as a colorist for me. She is conscientious and stays current.
