I've been going here for a while! Great service and Tina did a great job with my nails.

Genuinely don't understand how the rating isn't lower, I went here with my friend, and I am not at all picky as a college student looking for a well priced option. But I'm sorry, this nail salon did the actual worst acrylics I have ever had. The nails were super wonky looking. I paid $75 for this!! My other two friends went a couple days later, and the people working there didn't realize she spoke Vietnamese and she literally heard them laughing saying "we should over-charge her" and proceeded to give her a terrible acrylic set that she had to get fixed later. This place is okay. I've been here many times, and I'd say it's an average nail salon if you are not too particular about your nails, get basic nails without design, don't care too much about shape, and have lots of time. They are very nice and provide good customer service. Typically, the nail salons I go to do my pedicure as I get my nails done, which I like because it's faster. This salon didn't do that for me so you might be there for over 3 hours if you're getting an acrylic set and a pedicure. I've seen regular manis being done at the same time as pedicure though. I have seen reviews saying some of their nail techs are not competent, which I agree. One time, a woman who said she USED to do nails A LONG TIME AGO did my pedicure, and she said she was here to help out because the owner is her family. Another time, a woman was doing my nails and she asked in Viet to her coworker, "Why does she keep looking at her nails like that?" To which I replied in Viet that I was making sure they were a good length to type with. I also pointed out the sign written in Viet to please refrain from speaking Viet during business hours. I'm Vietnamese and can speak and read. I'm rarely if ever satisfied with the shape I get when I go here, but I like my nails very shaped and filed to perfection! I've noticed most nail techs here use a light hand so my shape is never quite how I envisioned it (not skinny enough, not sharp enough, not pointy enough). My favorite techs have been QT for pedicure and Andy for acrylic set. Price is above average in my opinion (I am from the Bay Area), but cost performance is not high. I get long nails so they are a little more expensive, but I don't think fancy sets are worth it here at all. Stick to basic and short manis if you go here. Giving 3 stars because they are diligent with their work and are very nice, but skill set is limited.

It was my first time at Polished today! I asked for Emily for a full set of acrylics and she did a BEAUTIFUL JOB. I have never been so happy with a set of nails before! My set was $90 (which is expensive yes) but I honestly couldn't complain. She put so much attention to detail in my nails and the overall atmosphere in the salon was very welcoming and friendly. I was offered a drink while I was waiting (I made an appointment but waited about an additional 10 minutes). I can't wait to come back for a fill! Ask for Emily!

Update: The owner reached out to me and was sincere and apologetic about how my service went, he gave me a full refund back and even offered to redo the service which I appreciate! I've visited polished nails a few times and have absolutely loved how my nails turned out. Well today my usually nail lady was busy and booked but I still wanted to treat myself to a manicure. Tammi and Terri did my nails today and all i got was a gel manicure and it came out so bad i was so disappointed. I ended up spending $78 and had to come home and try to fix them myself.
