Fantastic Sams Cut & Color in Goleta, CA

Got a haircut this am. I made an appointment but was rushed out because of a walk in. They were very rude and made loud negative comments about my hair. I have been in the hospital recovering from a major illness. The comments, although true did not need to be loudly broadcast to everyone in the salon. No apology from them. The stylist did the absolute minimum. Hate to think this, but I wonder if they were racist! Wont' be going back.

This place did an absolutely awful job on my friends hair. There was hair everywhere upon arrival. They were extremely rude and disrespectful. They blamed her bad haircut on her part and on her "already boxy layers". I, as her friend, am absolutely fuming and cannot imagine how she feels. These women trashed her hair and could not fix it. They were so condescending and disrespectful. They commented on my age, which I was appalled by. When my friend spoke up the younger girl had to ask for help and did not know what to do. I would not EVER recommend coming here. I work in the service industry and I would never treat a paying customer with such disrespect and hostility. We told them many times we would pay for their time despite their awful job and service. They threatened to call the cops, to which we said, please. They then proceeded to tell us to leave, not wanting to fix the mess they made. I was then asked to leave because of my crude language (which I do not regret using) and my friend was left to fend for herself with those nasty women. Don't come here, please.

very unprofessional over priced just because they was kids with thick hair said one price charged another did a half ass job and both my kids throw them out after 15 min for a deep conditioning and cuts left hair half wet half dry not styled charger almost $100 each I could have taken them to a professional hair studio for that price think again before walking in here go to Walter Claudio for a fabulous cut/trim style dye conditioning and you'll pay the same and be happy with the out come terrible when you think your getting a better price for something and get scammed charge people a fair price we are already going through very hard times as it is ! I see other people been through the same thing this places should be shut down sucks !!!! I went to get my hair washed. Only washed. My hair is about halfway down my back and thick. I went in 12/7/21, around noon to inquire about a wash, only a wash. The older lady with short greying hair came over to look at my hair. She lifted it up to get a good look. She seemed to be thinking about how much to charge because she was playing with my hair a few seconds. It's obvious even from a distance that my hair is long and thick. When she went back to the register, she was looking at what seemed to be a menu. She turned over the pages then used her calculator to calculate the cost of a wash for my hair. When she finished she gave me a quote of $68! I asked her "$68. 6-8"? She responded "yes. That doesn't include a blow dry". I asked again, "$68, for just a wash, not a haircut or anything else". She insisted $68. I told her I go to a salon in Ventura to get my hair washed, deep conditioned, cut, and blow dried and I pay $70, but nope, not at Fantastic Scam's. I was quoted $68 for only a wash. I ended up going to Super Cuts. Their price for a wash and a WASH ONLY?? $7.00. Yes, seven dollars! The lady at the counter was very surprised when I told her about the $68 quote. She took me right away and did a great job for a seven dollars wash only. It's Fantastic Scam's, not even a medium or high end salon, or even just a salon. Sixty eight dollars for just a wash?!! Fantastic Scam's should be given ZERO stars but the option is not there.
