Salon Allure in Middletown, CT

Emelie is the best! Got a color & cut from her, my first experience there. She's such a sweetheart, always kept a good conversation! And of course my hair looked stunning after it all, the color was exactly what I was looking for and I had a fresh cut, no more dead ends.

Not overly expensive either compared to where I was going previously.
Highly recommend this salon. If you're looking for stunning colors, ask for Emelie, her work is phenomenal.

Bad. I went there last year. The lady seems to know what she was doing. I wanted bob haircut. It wasn't bob at all. Crooked. So pissed.

I received a groupon for Salon Allure as a gift; the groupon was for a wash, single process Goldwell color, cut, and blow dry.  When I called to make an appointment and explained that I had the groupon, I was told that the single process color was root touch up only and not full color.  I explained that this was not what was promoted in the groupon; no response.  I was told that if I wanted to color my entire head, it would be an additional $25-35 depending on my hair length.  I said ok (no biggie) and then asked if the salon was open on Monday; I was told that they were closed on Sundays and Mondays.  I informed the receptionist that if you google the salon, it states that they are open on Monday from 10-7pm.  She told me that she had never seen that.  Again, I said ok.  I explained that I get out of work at 5pm so what is the latest they are open during the week (I couldn't count on the hours online so I figured I would ask).  I was told 7pm but that if I wanted a wash, dye, cut, and blow dry; I had to be there by 5:15pm.  I asked if they had any openings today and I was told, "ABSOLUTELY NOT- WE ARE BOOKED".  I wasn't bothered by them being booked but more so, the delivery.

Maybe I just got the wrong person and they were having a bad day.  It is a bummer because all the other reviews look great! Regardless, I called Groupon and explained my experience; I was given a credit and I used it toward another salon.  First impressions mean a lot and for me, Salon allure dropped the ball.

The salon is lovely! I had Kersten for my haircut and she did a fantastic job. She's very personable and warm,  and demonstrates a clear desire to fully understand your hair needs. She also is confident in her work and thus I felt comfortable having her cut my hair for the first time. I will be back and i highly recommend Salon Allure (ask for Kerstem) !!

I visited Salon Allure last night. I loved that Emelie took my right away I didn't have to wait. Emelie listened to my directions on how to cut and color my hair. Emelie was very nice and gentle with my hair. The only thing that I would have liked done better is straightening my hair. I had to flat iron it when I got home. My Groupon was honored and I didn't have to pay anything extra.
