Pearl Nails and Spa in Middletown, CT

Paid for a gel manicure and the next day it came off. Very upsetting. Super thin layer.

So I liked the lady and the atmosphere BUT I called and acrylics full set on the brochure are 35$ which is reasonable so I went.... Then checking out 58$ plus a 10$ tip ... def isn't worth 68$.... I'll def stick with the people who are honest and not trying to over charge you... smh

Ok so I got my hair done and then searched on Yelp super quick and I asked if they could do a walk-in acrylic full set. I believe I spoke with Christine and I came in maybe 15 mins later.

Picked out my color. I waited all of 5 mins and Christine called me over to the chair. I casually spoke with the women next to me & mentioned I start a new job tomorrow (it's my oral exam & last training exercise). Their phone ran off the hook and they had 2 walk-in mani-pedis & another walk-in while I was in there.

They were all multi-tasking and I was impressed with Christine's attention to detail. Place was clean and still pretty quiet even though they were so busy.

I wasn't in a rush & I would advise that for a Monday it just was busy & I was scrolling through my phone while she worked on the lady next to me. Best set I've had in awhile (tbh it's been awhile).

They prefer cash tip but I didn't have that on me today (honestly want planning on coming by until my mom suggested it) & she graciously let me tip with the card. They don't always let you do that ... and then she quietly wished me will with the new job as I head out.

Also she very clearly remembered her customers based on how she and they were interacting with each other.

I'd definitely be back.

BUYER BEWARE!
Very bad and greedy people who charge more than price listed. Liars.
I called for UV gel nail full set pricing and told it was starting at $50 for basic. Went and the Yung said "No, its $60, go check the brochure".  This I did and it said $50, and showed her...she said absolutely nothing.  She had also said a UV fill in was $50 while again in brochure said $35.
 At check out, owner Kristie charged me $60 for a basic UV gel full set of nails with basic red polish.  Pointed out to her the price in her brochure, and she said," because I got polish it is $10 extra".  Asked where that was in the brochure, ignored my question, then said it is always extra for polish

Not the greatest experience and hope they can improve on it Let me tell you, I was super excited to try out a new nail place. Walking in I was greeted, but the longer I stayed it felt like the tech was rushing more and more and became more uninviting and inattentive as she was trying to multitask. Very unprofessional as I felt like the experience of getting my nails done at many different locations far surpassed this one her.  this may be the worst one.
Through it all she had my hand set on a nasty wet towel that did not seem sanitary. I felt unseen and unheard as a customer.

The salon if self is clean and beautiful but certain things stood out to me that I hope they can improve on.

Once the bowl for my fingers to soak in was finished she dumps the water in the trash can and proceeds to throw the bowl behind her, same thing for when she got me another towel. I was given a fresh towel to wipe my hands. As soon as I was done she throws it behind her.  

Didn't clean off the powder, she did not take off all the powder before beginning to paint. I couldn't recall her name but seems like she was either a manager or the owner.

To say the least not only was the experience unpleasant but the result of what I paid for was extremely disappointing. Zoom into this picture and you can see uneven blobs of paint, dips in the paint, uneven/missed curves as well as unevenness and bumps in the paint.
