Royal Nail Spa in Tallahassee, FL

I recently visited Royal Nail Spa for a little self-care escape during a work trip, marking my first experience with them. Despite being a guy, I've always enjoyed the relaxation and grooming benefits of a good mani-pedi. Royal Nail Spa provided a welcoming atmosphere and a positive experience with their service. However, it's worth noting that their prices were slightly higher than what I'm accustomed to back home ($100 + tip for a Sports Mani and Regular Pedi with sugar scrub). Overall, it was a refreshing break that I would recommend, especially if you're looking for quality service and don't mind splurging a bit.

Very much due for an update. It's been years since I've been at this salon. Since 2019 actually and the treatment has been night and day. In 2019, I had a good experience, but it was packed and I felt like a number. I also would up getting waxed and spent $100+, which had me in a tizzy, and mind you that was before tip. Extremely expensive compared to the prices I was used to in South Florida. Enter 2023. I'm officially a resident of Tallahassee. My nails, as per usual, are falling apart as I'm terrible at maintaining them, always biting them when the anxiety hits. I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment. When I arrived, I was set up with Tran as my manicurist. I went in to get both a gel manicure and a regular pedicure done. It was 2 in the afternoon, and as I've become used to drinking wine at a nail salon, I ordered myself a glass of Chardonnay. Honestly I really needed the down time and Tran just made it all the more enjoyable. I was reminded me of my old nail techs, Laura and Maria, in South Florida who I miss deeply. To me going to the nail salon isn't just about getting my nails done, but it's also a place to talk to other people and get to know them. A place to meet a friend of sorts. The attention I received was fantabulous (that's fantastic and fabulous all rolled into one). The wine was chilled, Tran and I spoke about books, Broadway, and food as she did my nails, and did I mention that my nails look amazing? I felt like a new woman walking out of there. I'll definitely return and request Tran! She does awesome work and she's just so nice!

Simply put, this place is a 10/10. Amazing color section for regular, gel, and dip polish. Talented techs who can design full sets that are absolutely Instagram worthy. Great selection of pedicures with scented lotions and scrubs. Whatever you do- don't skip the paraffin treatment! They're open Monday-Saturday, I highly recommend coming on a weekday if you can get away from work. Perfect place to bring a friend and get pedicures while drinking a mimosa. In fact, that's what I'm doing while I write this review! Hands down the best nail salon in Tallahassee and the only one I trust.

my nails are so tacky it makes no sense. this is the first time I can surly say I WILL NOT RETURN HERE !!!! she really mad me mad . she's lucky I'm pregnant and hungry or I would've made her redo all 10 of my fucking fingers. The French tip ain't even a French tip. She didn't even shape my nails at all like there's no shape to my nails. There's Dents all in them like it looks horrible as fuck . NEVER AGAIN at least not the lady I went to older lady with glasses.

I had gone here a couple weeks back and got my nails done and I absolutely loved them, but I went back Monday October 24th 2022 to get very simple acrylic, black matte nails and I was very disappointed. The man who did my nails started the acrylic pretty low down. I've already had a nail break due to half the nail was done thick and the other side was super thin (shown in first picture). I drove an hour to get there after hearing a lot of great things about this place, only to end up having to pay $70 while my friend who got her nails done with a design and all only spent $65; and still left disappointed with the end results. I now have to go elsewhere to get it these fixed if possible.
