Rose Nails in Plymouth, MN

Friday, January 12th was our first and will be our last visit here, which is a shame as it's close to our new home. My daughter had an appointment, so I planned on just visiting with her as I only had an hour before I had to pick my son up from school. The owner assured me they could get a gel manicure done in time for me to pick up my son, so I ultimately decided to get my nails done. The woman doing my nails was polite and smiled a lot, however, she cut one of my fingers in three places trimming the cuticle. As it was cut in 3 places, it bled for quite some time and she ended up putting super glue along my nail and around my cuticle to stop the bleeding, it was a chunky, bloody mess. I reminded her I needed to leave to pick up my son soon as it had been 50 minuets and she had not started polishing my nails. Once she began polishing, she kept picking up the UV machine and setting it on top of my wet nails, instead of leaving it in one place and having me slide my hand in. This caused her to redo the polish on a couple of my nails 3 times. She did not clean the bloody super glue off, instead left it chunky and messy and the polish was mixed with blood and glue. A day later, the super glue with blood is still there and in the polish. There was no clean up after the polish. On some nails the cuticle was flooded with polish, some nails polish is missing along the sides or has little pockets of missing polish in the corners, and some nails it flooded over the sides. The nails were all uneven and messy. Ultimately I had to leave to get my son after an hour and 10 minutes for a basic gel manicure which was incomplete; no lotion, no cuticle oil, just a bad polish job. I let her know I would return in 10 minutes for her to finish and I would pay at that time and pick up my daughter. When I returned, she did not complete the manicure or even provide lotion to go; instead she had moved on to another customer. The owner knew what was going on as she was doing my daughters nails and asked if my finger was ok (no, it was not) but still charged me full price for a manicure that was not only incomplete, but looked horrible with uneven polish and the glued on blood and mess. Prices are also high, and you are charged more than the sign and menus in the salon. They also charged an additional $15 to remove old chipped gel polish on a couple of my daughter's nails despite her getting a full pedicure and gel manicure.

Made a same-day, last min appt to get my nails done before going out of town. I love their selection of colors and their prices are comparable. I just did a gel polish change, but she also shaped & buffed my nails as well as trimmed my cuticles, all for under $30! Please note that you must already have gel nails to be able to do the cheaper polish change, otherwise you'll need to do a full gel manicure. Love my Barbie inspired nails!!

I booked two appointments for spa pedicures - one for my 16 year old daughter, and one for my 85 year old mom. My daughter's was fine; she's used to quick Asian nail salons having lived in Asia, but my mom was quite unsatisfied. First, they didn't check the water temperature and it was way too hot. Second, they chattered the whole time to each other in Vietnamese. Third, and most critically, they were too aggressive in cuticle care and drew blood from my mom's big toe. With older people, they need to be much more careful especially! I will not recommend this salon. See other reviews for another one not far that was exceptional.

Spent the morning at Rose Nails with a friend who is a regular, and absolutely loved it. Had a pedicure and a dip manicure. Our appointments were honored and the team was ready to go. Quality of manicure and pedicure is fabulous. And the staff was friendly -- even offered to walk one of my friends to the car in her flip flops since it's a bit icy today. I recommend Rose Nails!

Went in for a last minute pedicure and called before and they were able to get me in within a couple of hours which worked with my schedule. I am from out of town and took my mom in with me. Johnny took care of me. Very professional job, easy to talk to and good conversation. Every one is nice in the shop. They are clean and take good care of you. I got the deluxe pedicure which includes the scrub, massage and a mask on you feet. I recommend them, especially if you want to be pampered
