Queen Nail Salon in Hayward, CA

This used to be my go to place but I will never return. The staff only talked in English to agressively upsale and then reverted to Vietnamese to talk to the other girls. The girl doing my nails did a horrible job quickly to get back to the card game going on with 4 girls on the back table. the rim around my nail was gross and looked so dirty that I have spent the last 45 minutes taking the nail polish off myself. I really hope the owners know that instead of making guest feel welcome, you would find your employees playing cards, curled up on one of the chairs eating lunch or just apathetically scrolling their phone ignoring customers. I understand that employees need breaks, but do it in the back room. I feel so bad for interrupting the card game that you won't have to worry about me breaking the game ever again.

This used to be my favorite place in Hayward but the last few times I've been there the manicurists have repeatedly asked if I wanted gel instead of regular or tried to get me to upgrade to the next highest price service. It's pretty annoying. I had to say no 4 times before she stopped asking.

I always go and get my nails done at this place and it never disappoints! I highly recommend getting your nails done with Annie, she is amazing and a perfectionist! Always leaves my nails so beautiful and never denies a request. She is super kind and talkative and so friendly, simply the best!

Just look at the photos to see the quality of work you can expect here. They cost as much as every other nail place but do absolute trash work. Don't waste your time, don't even give them a chance. You would have better results getting your pet or someone completely vision impaired to do your nails instead.

I really don't know why I kept giving this place chances. It's always a disappointment with my nails every single time but I kept coming back, I don't know why. I'm honestly too nice to complain about the job. But today was the tip of the iceberg. To start off, I called asking for a specific employee(because they did somewhat a decent job when I had went in a few weeks ago) and the person who answered the phone said they "no longer worked there". A bit confused bc they had just started there not too long ago, but still decided to go in since I needed a refill anyways. I walk in and guess what, the person I had asked for, sitting there. Doing someone's nails. Like wtf????? But whatever I guess, like I said, I'm not one to complain or be confrontational. So I sit down and someone starts on my nails. She nicked my thumb, numerous times, I would slightly pull away to signal her that it was hurting but she still continued to nick me, again and again and again. She applied the acrylic powder very quickly(faster than anyone else has ever done on me) which I found a little odd but I wasn't sure if maybe she was just very experienced??? Fast forward to nail polish. I had asked for gel polish which she did, my husband was showing me something on his phone and when I looked over she was putting flowers on my nails???? I NEVER ASKED FOR FLOWERS. But like I said I'm not confrontational. When she does my other hand, she had obviously rubbed white polish on the tip of one of the acrylics from when she was doing the flowers I never asked for and has the audacity to ask me what had happened? As if it was my fault??? The gel polish color I chose was a dark shade of pink. She finishes my nails and asks if I liked them, I said "I guess, yea" very dry bc I obviously do not like them but did not want to make her feel bad --stupid of me, I know. So now it's time to pay, she says is going to be $65?????? For a refill???? $65 for a damn refill. That's not even what I was charged with the original full set I got 2 weeks ago. I paid and left. I get to my car, acrylic was bumpy, not even laid out evenly, and those flowers she put on, terrible. They were falling off not even 5 minutes after. For the job that they do, they should NOT be overcharging people.
