I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at Love A & B salon today 9/2/2022 and would not recommend this salon to anyone. I called the salon at 3:57PM on 8/30/2022 and confirmed with the receptionist that my unused $200 gift card would be honored for an upcoming service. The receptionist placed me on hold to confirm and stated "Yes, you can absolutely use the gift card for any service, including Botox and injections, at Love A & B." When I got to the register for my service today 9/2/2022, I handed them the $200 gift card to go towards my $500 service. The receptionist stated that they could not honor the unused gift card. I explained the conversation I had with the receptionist on 8/30/2022 and showed them the screenshot of the phone call that occurred and the response from the two staff members was "Sorry, the receptionist that was working at that time on 8/30/2022 is new and hasn't been trained." And "I'm sorry, we know you were expecting to use that $200 gift card." Correct, I was expecting to use my $200 gift card, as that is what the receptionist explicitly told me during the conversation on 8/30/2022. Listen, I understand mistakes happen and have been there. But if an employer has employees mistaking policies, overpromising to customers, and/or failing to train their new hires, that is on them and the business to make it right, not me as the customer. Bad, bad experience here.

I absolutely love this place. It is vibrant and beautiful. I mainly go to Leila, and she's the best. The first time I met her, she made me feel fully comfortable and confident. That is how it should be. Also, understanding this, I am a deaf person, so I do have some kind of hesitation of going to some places knowing I could face communication barriers.... but with the people working there, I have faced none of that!!! I totally feel welcomed there, as they're willing to accommodate to my communication needs. It's truly amazing. Their styling work is also something to talk about.

First of all, the vibes are immaculate. From the second you walk in to the second you leave you will feel welcome, accepted, and taken care of. The entire staff is attentive and involved and it's clear that everyone here wants you to feel pampered and beautiful. The owners, Allie and Bailey are some of the kindest, most talented stylists I have ever encountered and are involved and dedicated throughout the entire process. It's entirely clear that they care about their staff and their guest experience from start to finish providing beverages, comfort, and a genuine interest in conversation from start to finish. If you're looking for a style refresh, cut, color, or my personal favorite, the hand tied extensions, this is the place for you. Walking distance from some of the best restaurants and shopping in minneapolis... what's not to love. And did I mention the free parking deck? Best new salon in MSP hands down...Check them out!!

LOVE. Allie has been doing my hair for over 5 years and I refuse to see anyone else. I truly cannot say enough good things about her work, she knows how to keep my blonde bright and my hair healthy! Her and Bailey's new salon is a DREAM! These two have put their hearts into each detail and I recommend everyone to go check it out!! 10/10, love a+b is it
