DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME OR MONEY!!!!!! We just moved here from Chicago, and I'm a cosmetologist, so I know my expectations might be a little high... But I don't think CLEAN, COURTEOUS service is too much to ask for. Lets just start with the basics.... From the nail clipping covered nasty blue carpet on the floor (LITERALLY COVERED WITH CLIPPINGS FROM THE FRONT OF THE SALON TO THE BACK), The STRONG smell of acetone that dog gone near knocked me back when I walked in (don't strike a match NEAR this place you might spontaneously combust! SERIOUSLY) improperly ventilated.... Unsafe for both workers and customers, the un-sanitized utensils, the dirty, nail polish stained towels, to a tech who didn't know how to do designs.... (The only reason I stayed is because I was in a pinch). In addition to all of that, the nail polish choices were drab, old and appeared to be full of thinner to make them useable.... Ewww! I am quite amazed at what people will put up with to get services.... In spite of all I listed above, they didn't even have enough workers there on a Saturday to service the people coming in. Unbelievable!
The staff and customers laughed at my husband because he requested a manicure.... What? Men don't groom themselves in St Louis?! I found this COMPLETELY unprofessional! To add injury to insult, the lady who did his manicure did a HORRIBLE job on them.... He's not super picky either; just used to his nails looking nice.. . She filed them at all different lengths and not smooth at all...
I went in for a gel fill in and a pedicure... Pedicure was done first... Unremarkable.... Other than the fact that the tech kept hitting my Achilles and ankle with the scrubber... OUCH! Also, I get saving money, but separating my toes with brown bathroom paper towels was not my idea of fun... where are your pretty soft toe separators???? In light of the unsanitary, under supplied and seemingly unskilled, I opted not to have my fill in done there... I'll wait!
The mall they're located in is pretty grimy too! After walking out of this dirty establishment I was going to another store in the same mall... I encountered a dead bird on the steps, garbage and cigarette butts .... Sooooooo nasty.... Needless to say we won't be returning! Alcohol bath for his hands, and my fee! Eeeeewwwww!
