K & T Hair Salon in Lawrenceville, GA

Very great service! I walked in on a Saturday and was immediately sat down. I received a haircut, wash, and blowout all for $40, and I love how it turned out. I've gone to higher end salons and paid a lot more for less quality results so I definitely recommend K & T over other places. Paula cut my hair exactly how I wanted and I will definitely be back!

My family and I have been going here for years and I feel bad they don't have more reviews! Yes the salon is not fancy and it is pretty much located in a run down plaza in Lawrenceville but the quality of the cut, color and service I get here is amazing! To be honest, I have actually gone to a dozen other high end salons just because I feel like they might be better due to the location, salon and price but I'm always disappointed. I have finally decided I'm done trying other places just because this place isn't fancy shmancy. The owner Paula is super nice and knows how to cut hair exactly the way you want it! I've gotten many cuts from her over the years with my super long hair to super short and bob cuts. She's also colored my hair many times and it's always came out perfect! Her prices are reasonable and I recommend you make appointments because like I said they're amazing and lots of locals and regulars are in there all the time.

let me just say..it's VERY hard to find a good/decent asian hair salon. I'm still on the hunt for a go-to hairstylist, but for now.. this is my temporary salon until I do find one. | ATMOSPHERE: | don't expect a nicely decorated or fancy looking salon. this place looks like any low budget, family oriented salon. if anything, I think it looks very close to a salon that you would encounter if you were in Vietnam. the walls are all white and so are the floors. there are portraits of actresses and models with nice hair along the left and right side of the walls. there are fake plants throughout the store. other than that, the place is very simple and plain. | SERVICE: | the service here is mediocre. so then why do I go here? only because my mom likes to get her hair cut and done here so she's a tad acquainted with the owner. the owner is the only one that I allow to cut my hair since since she's was the first to touch my hair and it has always remained that way. every time I come in, she knos exactly how I want my haircut. she does ask me how short and how many layers I would like since my mind does change from time to time. her technique for cutting asians hair is fine, but her professionalism with just overall hair is terrible. after the haircut, I have a choice of straightening the hair or a blow dry styling. I pick the straightener most of the times, but either way...she NEVER uses a heat protectant. after getting home, I always have to throw on a little extra after-conditioners on my hair due to her ongoing mistakes. I don't bother telling her since I kno she's not going to invest in some. in addition to professionalism, she does talk on the phone or to others while she is working on my hair. this usually doesn't upset me since I kno her somewhat and the type of setting I'm getting myself into. BUT if this were to happen at any other salon, I would NOT tolerate it. if you don't mind things like these (mentioned above), then go ahead and try K&T salon out. if you DO NOT like the cons I mentioned, then g'luck finding another b/c it's been years for me and I'm still searching... overall, the owner is very friendly. her prices are very cheap in comparisons to other asian salons; even the buford highway ones. her prices are the only reason I come back. around $15-18 bucks for a lady's haircut and style? heck ya~~

A friend recommended this place for a local cut. Nothing too fancy if you have a serious hair style that needs professional taming, this might not be the best. But this place is a nice, cheap, and quick place just to get a trim. Men's haircut is only $10 while ladies range from 15+. My hair isn't anything amazing or needs lots of attention to keep in tact so this place serves just the right purposes. They add extra attention to you for no charge, like a quick shave or a back massage (from a machine) if you'd like of course. Nice people and better quality than somewhere like great clips, I'll be a regular.
