I do not recommend this manipulative trifling stylist. The negative reviews are real and Vann Bamm or whatever her name is needs to just retire. She's a trifling drama queen liar and in person is very ghetto and extremely unprofessional. The kind, inviting, friendly person I spoke to a few times prior was not the stylist that I met. The nasty attitude and unprofessional especially to new clients attitudes in person like we are desperate is no bueno for good business. Shes a liar with very poor customer service, listening skills, and cleanliness. This staff confuses business and professionalism with being buddy buddy. Useless rushed consultation, no client privacy whatsoever speaking loud and childish as if all client convo should be "shop" convo showing very little respect to your new clients. My experience was terrible because I left dissatisfied with the horrible cut from her poor listening skills. She cut my hair way too short looking similar to all her other waiting clients which is NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. Its an uneven terrible haircut that was so unnecessary when I clearly told her what I wanted. She gave me ghetto bully-like attitude because I asked her to use another type of product on my head that I preferred that she did say she had in the back...like I am not licensed and dont know whats good for my hair.. yeah that backfired on her lol She has a ego problem and lacks good communication and customer service skills like we in the hood or something with her contentious tone and attitude. She made comments all loud as if she was more-so speaking to her cliquish-like salon buddies about my hair being dry when I told this goofball over the phone and in person that I washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo 2 days earlier from swimming in ocean and pool water? Instead of being professional this goofy looking fraud would rather put on a show in front of the salon and down talk new clients like a salon clown; she should've up sold me with some type of moisturizing treatment. Instead she'd rather be a poor salon professional. I came to get relaxed and serviced not anxiety and embarrassment. She asked me to be there at 530 sharp just to begin my lousy haircut at 645 and attempt to start my chemical service after 7pm with the nerve to wonder why Im not bubbly talking? Like I wanna wait in a packed overbooked salon with a half ass started hairdoo to keep me there? The same as she did with all her other overbooked clients probably all feeling the same way lol She kept touching all the clients interchangeably at the same time, no sanitizer, kept touching my phone. Come to think of it there was no barbicide in sight either. This narcissist is a joke and I should NOT have wasted my time talking to her before the appointment believing that she is a professional. I definitely shouldn't have been so optimistic initially by giving her the benefit of the doubt especially after reading some of the shady reviews before I came. I should have read all of them before I came and there would have been no appointment booked; silly me. From the moment she came to the locked door she was uninviting as if I were bothering her like she wasn't expecting me? She's delusional and has forgotten the fundamentals of being a professional hairstylist and I should've just kept it moving early on and not wasted my time in this trifling salon with the trifling attitudes. Her and her useless sidekick should just pack it up because they're both washed. So many older women over-booked in a small space during COVID with half done hairdos looking ridiculous. Sooo why would you reach out just to triple+ book your clients like that with the audacity to require a deposit for an appointment ? For what that ghettoness? So unnecessary, unprofessional, and a huge disappointment. I knew when I arrived...saw the shopping center in person...the locked door...it was questionable lol There's no need to give all the details about my horrible experience because its over thank GOD and will be the last. I do not recommend not now or ever. She is a disgrace to all seasoned salon professionals and that poor behavior isn't professionally acceptable. To get licensed you are taught to treat your clients with value and respect especially in their time of need reaching out to you for a service. Not to even mention taking the risk by coming during covid. A strong less than one star NO from me.

I love Miss V, her knowledge, skills and abilities, concerning hair are on point! Her place is warm, inviting, comfortable and clean. She provides free beverages and snacks. Most importantly she is covid-19 compliant! Thanks Miss V for making me feel safe, welcome, and beautiful! Regarding the recent post. I was serviced the same day 10/3/20. I heard Miss V say to the young lady who's hair I did not see completed, " sure you can write a review on Google and or yelp, just don't post pictures of the inside or outside of my establishment or my clients". "You can take pictures of your own hair and write whatever you like" . Miss V, was adamant about her requirements and further stated that she can advertise her salon appearance herself. The only I heard concerning style seat was about them being a third party as it relates to paying options. The young lady was provided a foot stool after sharing that she was in pain after a recent car accident. At one point she asked if she was allowed to eat in the salon, Miss V responded, "absolutely". Miss V then proceeded to walk the young lady to the door and allowed her to retrieve her personal snack from her car. Miss V then sanitized the young lady's hands for the 2nd time, locked the door behind her, and started back on her roller setagain. While I was there the other lady complimented how pretty my hair was as I was finished 1st.

So I was hesitant to make a review of my most recent experience with the owner/ hair stylist of this salon because she strongly demanded that I not. However, the experience was so awful and she would not rectify the situation so I feel that it would be a disservice to my community if I did not inform people of my experience. Here it goes: When I initially approached this salon, I took a picture of the outside of her salon before entering and she immediately came out and demanded to know why I was taking pictures. I explained I was taking the pictures to post on Yelp, she was very visibly upset and this was the start of her long 2-3hour rant for my entire visit on how she feels about Yelp and people posting negative reviews about her and I initially sympathized until I myself became a victim. When she approached me outside about the pictures that I took, without hesitation and out of respect for her establishment I told her and showed her that I was deleting the photos and I thought that would be the end of the conversation regarding that, but that is not what happened. I tried to stay in good spirits and be positive about the situation, but I literally was feeling like I was walking on egg shells the way she talked to me the entire time I was there as a paying customer to get my hair washed, detangled, dried, and styled. I think her salon is very beautiful. I appreciate the fact that she was willing to do my hair on short notice and so I complied with her demands. All I really wanted was just to have my hair washed, dried, and detangled but she required me to have my hair styled too and I accepted because I had limited options on available stylists on short notice and would have needed to make an appointment even with her, but she "accommodated" me. As she was doing my hair, in between working on her two other clients and her vigorous rants, she stated that she does not typically work with natural hair and only gave me two options to style my hair. It was to silk press my hair or to put curling rods and set and sit under the hair dryer. After a brief discussion, I settled on the curling rods because a silk press would not last very long with my natural hair and I really just wanted a low maintenance hair style and my goal was just to wear it in an Afro, but just needed it detangled. Most of the conversation felt like I was being interrogated and intimidated. She was very confrontational and I was very careful with any of my responses or any interaction with her. Towards the end of the visit, when she was taking the rods out my hair she began to I guess " fluff" my hair, I don't know the proper terminology for what she did to my curls, but I didn't get to look at how it looked freshly out the rods, but the finished product afterwards. It looked my hair was weeks old and thinned out. Prior to this I had very thick hair and I was disappointed, but she insisted it looked good and I was polite and hesitant to tip her, but tipped her anyway because she did accommodate me by booking me short notice. Despite the entire experience, I initially chose to not leave a review because of how she felt. She did express that if I wanted to leave a review, she rather I left it on Google or styleseat, but stressed that Yelp was not an option and that they were dishonest, not accurate, and bias, etc. I'm basically trying to sum up this horrific experience, but there are so many details that I haven't mentioned, but hopefully you get the picture. On styleseat I initially left a 4 star based on her "heart" and "accommodation". The next day I contacted her and sent her picture of the night before of my hair right after she did my hair and the next day while I was at work with the state of my hair which I was very disappointed in. I was hoping that she would fix or redo my hair or something, but instead she stopped responding to me and ignored my calls and messages. I debated for days and tried to give the benefit of a doubt that this woman wasn't avoiding me and that this wasn't the tip of the iceberg of my experience, but it was. After consulting with family and friends about this situation, I even expressed I had a genuine fear of making a review or even accurate review telling my experience because of how she may react and how intimidating she was and practically threatened me if I were to post on Yelp that I may experience some type of repercussion. I have never been so shocked and appalled. This lady has been hurt by negative experiences, but she shouldn't take it out on anyone and allow people to have a positive experience and prove the naysayers wrong, but instead she only proved them right. I hope the best for her. I genuinely hope her next client has a better experience than I did. Despite the owner's paranoid accusations, I do not work for Yelp.
