Hair Studio 18 in Bellevue, WA

I found Effect by following Estee from her last salon to this one (she is THAT GOOD! But more on that later!). On my last appointment I met Malinda, the owner, and between her and Estee, I was laughing and having such a great time during my whole hair vacation! I really love how nice, clean and comfortable the salon is, and all of those wonderful stylists that work there make my hair cuts a really great treat! Now when you choose to go to Effects, I recommend using Estee! I have very thick, naturally curly hair and have been letting people thin it out for years, and never understanding why I HATED wearing it down and embracing my mane! But the first time I saw Estee and asked for a trim and to "thin it out a bit", she told me no! She told me why she wouldn't do it (the combo of thick and natural curls can be lethal, and you have to handle it JUST right!) and told me what she would do to help out my volume problems, so I trusted her and let her at it. About 3 years later, I haven't let anyone else touch my hair and I LOVE the way the curls fall!! I actually wear it longer now in my early 30's than I ever have, thanks to Estee's master touch!!! I met my husband since I've been going to Estee, and one of his favorite things about me is my hair, so I really have to recommend all you single ladies to her! :) The prices are great at Effects, they have snacks, and you will leave feeling happy and beautiful!!

This is a wonderful place to get your hair cut. The owner Malinda does a great job making you feel great of making you feel welcome. You come in as a client and leave as a friend. The atmosphere is very friendly and this is a place that I could see myself hanging out even if I didn't need a haircut because all the people here are so friendly. For the asians out there, Tracy is one of the hairstylist and she understands how to cut asian hair!!! She was able to use a razor and help add texture to my hair which made styling a breeze.
