Stylist salon really take interest in their clients. And they have such a love for doing hair, and it comes out in the results of their work.
I have been going to Hair Affair for years, for my girl Patty, and have never been disappointed. But this past weekend I took my daughter there to get her hair done for prom. Mary was wonderful! She took the time to make it perfect and her hair lasted all night!!! Her expertise showed and I am forever grateful!! Thank you!!!
Not impressed. I'm sure their services for women are fine, and other stylists may do men's hair quite well, but I must say, the haircut I got made me look like a yokel. ;o) The first time I went here, I explained exactly what I wanted and, though overall my hair was a bit on the short side, I was reasonably satisfied. When I went back a second time, I simply said that I'd like it slightly longer, assuming that the stylist remembered what she had done the first time, or, at the very least, could see how my hair was cut and could extrapolate backwards to what I like. Bad assumption. Though she made the hair on the center of my head longer, she cut around my ears, which I absolutely cannot stand, rather than over the ears the way I like. And she "trimmed" my sideburns to the point that they are barely visible. The guy I used for decades, before he retired, actually had a file card for each client and a small card file, so he didn't put his clients through this kind of nonsense. He knew what they liked, and if there were changes, they could be discussed. Bottom line, unless you want a standard men's haircut and don't mind your stylist running on automatic, avoid this establishment or, at a bare minimum, tell the stylist exactly what you want every time.
I have been going to Hair Affair for many years and have never been disappointed. The stylists are friendly, highly skilled, have plenty of experience, and are sensitive the the needs of their clients - from young children to the elderly. My stylist's name is Michele Thurston. With 38 years of experience, she loves and takes pride in her work. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my hair care!
