Bella Hair Salon in Ellicott City, MD

I recently switched to Bella's for my haircut because of the quality and timeliness in which they cut men's hair. You can tell their hairdressers are very experienced in their craft and I have loved every haircut I have received so far. A men's cut is only $18 and is accompanied with a free shampoo and wax styling if desired. Great haircut and a bargain price, would definitely recommend!

So i've given Bella Studio many tries even though I knew that I wasn't satisfied the first time around, and I'm not quite sure why. But now I know that Bella is not the salon for me. Twice after I got my haircut there, I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. The first time it was due to the fact that she barely cut my hair (so I guess that wasn't a mistake, but more of a lack of a job done). However, the second time was because the woman gave me sharply drastic layers on one side of my head, but no layers on the other. I looked like a travesty. I had healthy, smooth hair before going in, but after that visit, I left the salon with my hair looking unhealthier than when I came in. I agree with Tunaidi that most of the patrons are older, which is why I don't think that the hairstylist that I had didn't really kept up with the trends. However, the prices are decent with it being $25 for women's haircuts and $18 for men.

Just like Tunaidi A's review, I migrated to Bella's because of Sonya. She is just so good with my straight, bristly, asian hair - I had to follow her. I recently had a perm done by Sonya and she did a FANTASTIC job. Yes, I'm a guy with a perm and I'm so happy/proud of the magic that Sonya was able to achieve. I have to say I don't mind the decor of Bella's because the person holding the scissors is the one cutting my hair. I'm giving these 5 stars to Sonya and I have no reservations recommending Bella's because of Sonya. I hope she continues to gain more clients and success.

Bella Hair Studio is an oldish-looking hair salon, stocked with limited and older equipment as compared to the more stylish Color FX and Hair Talk salons. The patrons' demographics seem to be Korean and either middle-aged or older. I only decided to try it out because I found out Sonya from Color FX migrated to this location. I can only vouch for her at Bella Hair Studio. She is fantastic at her profession. Not sure I'd be inclined to give anyone else a shot here.

I recently got a haircut there, and it was pretty good for the price. A lot of barbers around the area are ~$20, but I chose to go there because of the Korean restaurants in that plaza. I went in, waited for 5 minutes for the stylist to finish, and got my hair cut in 15-20 minutes. I had my hair done by Kristine and she's great! Pretty talkative, yet not annoying. She'll gel/wax your hair if requested, and now I style my hair that same way. 5/5
