Envy Salon in Massapequa, NY

I usually go to Mad Men's in Wantagh, for my haircut but on occasion, would stop at Envy Me and have a nice lady named Victoria give me a "hold the fort" trim. I recently made a call to this establishment to make an appointment and was advised that Victoria was no longer there. I booked an appointment for a trim, was seated and waited almost 20 minutes in the stylist chair! Eventually, I was advised that she was on the phone with her insurance company and would hopefully be out soon. When she finally showed up, I advised her I wanted a quick trim, mostly in the back, which was getting too long. She said that I would have to have my hair washed (and pay more money) as she said I used hairspray and she didn't want to ruin her $800 scissors ! Really? Obviously, this place is not for men as we aren't looking for a cut and blowout, just an ordinary trim. This establishment maybe the "Envy" of women and young ladies but it's definitely not a unisex establishment. So men and young men should avoid this place and consider a barber that is dedicated to men. Just Sayin

Tried this salon for the first time a few weeks ago. My hair was really washed out from the summer so I needed roots, low lights and a toner. I told everyone I was going and went into work the next day and everyone thought I had cancelled the appointment! It didn't look like I had anything done at all! Awful job! the owner did my hair and charged me a lot and didn't talk to me the whole time she was doing my hair talked to everyone but me. Not the best way to run a salon and needless to say I will not be going back and no one where I work or my friends will be going there. The other hairdressers looked nice enough though. But owner was awful! And she needs to take a class on manners!.... I gave 1 star cause there was nothing lower

Will never go back. Joann cut my hair three times. First and second time were good cuts but the third time she butchered the back. She was supposed to give me the same exact cut but decided to do her own thing. Horrible haircut. I also feel like she rushed each time and didn't put any effort into styling my hair when blow drying it.

Been coming here for five years now! Love this Salon! The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. Family like atmosphere. I highly recommend this salon! Whenever I'm looking for a change they know exactly what I need. Joann does my color and never disappoints.

Jackie at EnvyMe has been cutting and coloring my hair for many years and I always know I'm in great hands! The entire staff are nothing but professional and friendly. I also bring my 8-year old curly-haired daughter for a trim and Jackie does a fantastic job. Jackie did her up-do for her communion this year and we had so many compliments! Thank you, Jackie! Always a great experience at EnvyMe!
