I came here during Covid when I first moved into Long Island and I only wanted a blow out for my birthday. The lady they gave me did not understand I didn't want to cut my hair because I only get curly hair cuts. She left me in the back room after washing my hair for 45 mins. And no she wasn't busy because the salon was empty but she was busy talking to her friends. When she finally blew out my hair she kept making comments about me needing a hair cut while she was making jokes about my hair to the stylist next to her. I was not satisfied of my hair, it came out very poofy and dry. I am traumatized to try any other salon in my area due to this experience. I rather drive the hour drive into Manhattan to get my hair done right with respect!
I got my haircut at another salon and didn't realize until the next day when i straitened it how UNEVEN IT WAS!!! So I looked around for other salons close to me and decided to call giovanna hair salon and asked them if they could just even it out for me and they were so nice and told me to come within the hour! So I raced over and they were so nice when I walked in and fixed it perfectly! I will definitely be coming back for a full service next time I need it done.
I'm so happy I found Giovanna Hair & Day Spa today. I needed a haircut in the worst way but I'm sick of people chopping it up. Giovanna listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. A true professional! I've lived in this neighborhood for many years just wish I knew about her sooner...

Today was the first hair cut I have gotten for this year due to covid. I was concerned about going to a public place for a haircut because I was not sure what precautions were in place to keep everyone safe. Giovanna's hair salon was great! Extremely clean and everyone was wearing masks and face gear to protect themselves and the public. I received a beautiful haircut and I was in and out quickly. Giovanna gave me a beautiful cut and all of the staff were warm and welcoming. Very positive experience for first time getting out into the world!
