I've read the other reviews and one was from CA and the other NY. This salon is in Brick, NJ, so maybe they had the wrong place, because I've gone there several times and always got great service and hair cuts!

Worst service I've ever had. My stylist and another one next to her that kept butting in were very argumentative with me. I wanted a dark brown single process. They said that color was too dark for me. That's my natural color and my choice. The color they did was way too light and terrible. They said next time they would do it darker. Then they did the worst job ever blow drying my hair. They didn't put any product on my hair when it was wet, used a very coarse wire brush that ripped my hair out and put the blow dryer under my long, loose hair and let it blow all over causing knots and frizz. I had to pull away and tell her to stop. I paid and even gave her a tip. I walked out very upset, it looked terrible and I felt she damaged my hair.

Came in for a blowout, and left in the beginning of the service. Firstly, I came there about 10 minutes early and the stylist was eating her lunch and speaking to some guy who was there about her husband waking up to blood stains in their bed that came from some sort of squished bugs. Ok. She FINALLY finishes her lunch and then proceeded to touch my hair with her dirty, oily hands after she was eating her lunch. Once I said something she used hand sanitizer. We all know that if your hands are greasy that hand sanitizer does not clean them. Ok. Moving on, she starts the curling iron and the hair straightener. I said I only want a blow out please. She proceeded to use a blow dryer (that was ancient) and started blow drying my hair (she did not even wet it, btw). No. She was not able to do it. It was a mess and she just couldn't get the technique right with how you blow dry hair. She then proceeded to tell me how I really needed a hair cut and it's because of my hair that it's not working out. Also that every stylist has their own way of doing things (which I agree) but if you cannot do a simple blowout, then how can you expect to work at a hair salon? Anyway, I saw it wasn't going anywhere and I politely said this isn't what I'm looking for and I would like to pay for her time. She said not necessary. I had an engagement shoot and needed this done... I cannot understand why I was not able to receive a simple blowout.
