Light Concept Nails in Brick Township, NJ

I have been going to Light Concept Nails for over 15 years, my finger & toe nails always look great. Everyone that works there does great work and makes you feel very comfortable.

I want to start off by saying I have been to this salon many times. The employees are always so pleasant and I really do appreciate their work. However I was there yesterday and had an appointment at 12. Arrived 5 minutes early. The 12:15 came in right behind me and got seen before me. I actually ended up having the same lady who did her pedicure. As if that wasn't bad enough I was getting my nails done by a really sweet employee who was going to do a really pretty flower design on my nails. The owner Ashley then came and had her go to someone else and took over doing my nails. The "flowers" Ashley gave me don't even look like flowers, but fireworks with a dot in the middle. I was there for just under 2 hours and couldn't wait any longer to tell her I didn't like them and have her redo because as it was I felt rushed at that point when she took the other girl off my nails and who I was more pleased with than when the owner. I'm going away until Tuesday and my birthday is Thursday. Was really hoping to have cute nails for this trip but I guess I'll be hiding them in gloves.

I went here for a fill in and pedicure , the women doing my nails was rude & stand-offish, as she filing my nails she basically trying to break my fingers . To add insult to Injury she made my toe nails round instead of square. Worst part- I specially make sure I can put a regular nail-posh over their pink gel acrylic color and instead of giving me the color to match my toenails she put it back on the shelf since she was in a rush. Then annoyed told me she's go back and put it on me while rolling her eyes ( crazy bc she knew to bring the color to the table ? I even joked about being so over the pink gel) I understand I was there last appointment of the day at 5pm but if they weren't in the mood to fulfill my request fill in & pedi request they could of said no, & I would of spent the $60 days else where, gotten what I wanted without an attitude.

I've been going here for I'd say 2 years at least. I use Ashley, who is the owner and she does an awesome job. However, in the last year they got a new receptionist and she is horrible. I don't even want to call to make an appointment because I don't want to talk to her. She never seems to have the time or day I want, almost like she just doesn't want to give you what you ask for. She is not friendly and very awkward. And not only that, I feel like ever since covid, while they have been doing a great job with cleanliness and accommodating everyone, it is more about them getting you out as fast as possible so they can make as much money as possible. They rush and have been doing a bad job. My gel nails always chip within a week. That coupled with the nasty receptionist, is why I'm changing salons.
