Ken is a perfectionist & seasoned hair stylist. Expert who can do any type of service. I have heavy highlights in dark hair, long style, very tricky--Ken pulled it off better than anyone & my hair is healthy looking too. Despite the impression that it might be very pricey, I felt the prices to be something from the early 2000's! Seriously 20 years ago pricing but top rate modern products & hair styling & service. Do not hesitate to call for Ken. P.S. He did not pay me to say this!

Honestly ... the lady was nice and the tea I was offered was delicious but my hair ... I paid too much money for the look of box dye. Ultimately after my hair dye (which was left In for over an hour...) I was told that my ends were still really dark and that I would need to bleach them to get the color I wanted but I don't understand why lightening wasn't talked about before hand due to the color I wanted ... so now I have light roots and dark ends .. it was clear I wasn't happy when I left and they did t say anything to make it a better experience... the lady even made a comment about it being way darker than even she expected which is ... upsetting Then we get to the payment part and of course my person was the highest level of experience which means you pay more so then I was even more bothered by the fact that she waited until after to tell me my hair needed to be lighted first ... considered I mentioned it before I even went to the appointment over the phone The vibrant ginger is what I wanted the darker is what I got and the third picture is what I started with

My short, curly and coarse hair can be a challenge for the best hair stylist. After two months away from my home in Florida, I was in desperate need of some "grooming". I looked for a salon within walking distance from the Waterside Marina AND good reviews. I was fortunate to have Ken as my stylist. He's very talented and gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had! I definitely will be scheduling a cut with him next time I'm in the Norfolk area!

Well... I didn't think spending hours at a salon would be a good time however, it was! KEN did my hair today (cut and color) he is full of hair (and life) knowledge! I was comfortable with the consultation and looking forward to the finished result! He is a hair wizard! Definitely magic fingers! He gave me exactly what I wanted (also, no more boxed hair color for me) Thank you KEN! See you next time!

I went in for an all over color. From light brown to sandy blonde. The hairstylist turned my hair strawberry red then plum color before telling me the person working the next day would fix it. I called him the next day and he threatened me and told me I was not going to have an appointment with him nor show up embarrassing him in front of new clients. I called Aveda corporate and they are looking into the incident. Go ANYWHERE ELSE.
