Adore Salon in Pittsburgh, PA

I went in for a Korean perm hoping to get one that lasted long but this place is not it. After the perm, it looked decent but after the first wash my hair was totally different. The curls quickly disappeared my hair was still straight as before. Don't go here if you want something that lasts long.

Incredible haircut! It is so hard to find a salon that excels at handling Asian hair. I brought a picture with me as inspiration and I got the exact hairstyle but shorter (as requested). The master stylist is very precise and detail oriented. They're usually booked 1 week in advance, fyi.

Saw all the good reviews so I came here in very high hopes for a curly hair perm. I was utterly disappointed. I don't have a very round head so I usually perm my hair to make it look exploded so that my real head shape can be hidden. They gave me a cut that took away quite a bunch of my hair and then permed on top of that. And I look like a wet monkey now. It doesn't compliment my face shape it exposes my defective head shape and this is the kind of perm that won't show unless you slightly moisten your hair, which further reduces hair volume. "Cute, right?" That's what they said as they looked in mirror. You know when to say something is cute? When you find it hard to compliment it with actually substantial and meaningful words. Plus while applying some potion they splashed it onto my eye, which is very unprofessional. I was given artificial tears to wash right away but not the best experience out there. I don't know why I still gave 18% tip in the end. I'm not one to argue in person when this happens so I'm extremely sad now after pretending I'm satisfied. If a hairstylist knows how to work with most people's hair but fail to recognize individual needs, then you can't say they're good enough and deserve a 5/5. I've worked with people who see what I need and I always feel confident after getting a haircut. Well, use your own judgement to come here or not. But I'm a sad monkey right now.

I have been searching for a good hair salon for Asian hair in Pittsburgh for forever. There are some good hairdressers out there, and then there are some terrible ones. I used to go to a hairdresser in Squirrel Hill (InStyle Hair Salon) who was fast and great but never sanitized the scissors between clients or after dropping scissors on the ground. The final straw was when he left for 20 min in the middle of a haircut to talk about sending packages to China - I'm talking about hair wet, part of hair clipped up, and sitting in chair for 20 min. Then it was a rollercoaster to find another hairdresser for Asian hair, and I'm so glad that I found Adore Hair Salon. Elliot is very experienced with Asian hair and he is super helpful in picking hairstyles that would compliment your face and look. The haircuts always end up better than I expect, and he does a great job on my husband's hair too! If you show him a picture, he can basically do an exact replica on you. Highly recommend this salon, especially for Asian hair!
