Zoom Tan - Tanning Salon in Syracuse, NY

The Zoom Tannig salon in Dewitt on Erie Blvd is managed by the best person. She is beyond expectations and exceptional. I am always greeted with a friendly smile and very knowledgeable about the products. The staff is also super. It is always spotless and welcoming. I would strongly recommend the Dewitt salon over some of their other ones.

I LOVE ZOOMTAN!!!! My first spray tan was with zoom tan and the girl was so nice and helpful. I was in and out max 15 minutes and as soon as I left a lady complemented! It felt so nice! The tan stays on long and looks very natural. I have been going back ever since April and I will be purchasing the membership!

Zero stars if possible. The girls working there are friendly so it's a shame they work for such a greedy company. My issue was a billing dispute, and judging by reviews, I'm not alone. "Customer service" department was extremely rude, focused solely on legal technicalities of the agreement and couldn't care less about retaining existing clients. I was called entitled by them for simply asking for a $40 refund after doing business there for 5 years.

I am truly disappointed with my customer service at zoom tan. I was told by an employee after my card was declined that my membership was cancelled and was charged twice following. Long story short- the customer service representative that I emailed and could NOT call because nobody from the customer service team apparently can do that told me it was my fault and wouldn't even credit me with two months for when I return to Syracuse. I hate to not return to zoom tan- I really loved going.

Count me among the former Total Tan clients in Syracuse that now have to go here. I tanned at Total Tan and other places in the country for many years, so I have some depth of experience when it comes to tanning. On the positive side, it is cheap at $30 a month. Unfortunately, you don't get something for nothing. The stand-up beds (all they offer) are ancient and red hot--I can take the heat but after only 7 minutes I thought I was going to catch on fire. There is no plastic between you and the bulbs and the booths--which are actually a cage being lined with red-hot metal bars--are absolutely claustrophobic. There is no marking on the booths as to their date of manufacture, nor is there a running timer inside. Finally, the nutty music (clearly aimed at their "spray tan to go the prom girl" crowd) is pumped through the entire place. Tanning used to be a relaxing experience that I looked forward to, but it is not here.
