Zoom Tan - Tanning Salon in Erie, PA

Zoom Tan has the absolute worst customer service ever. I have never been so appalled by a corporate employee's behavior. I went into Zoom Tan and the manager was super nice. Told her I wanted to tan and we figured out it was cheaper just to do a monthly package. I was told by the manager that I could use my gift card and I pulled it up on my phone and had her scan it. They had to put my debit card on file and I was told I'd see a charge(29.99) but it wouldn't take it out of my account since I used a gift card. Anyways, a month went by and I noticed the 29.99 was deducted from my account and never put back in like I was told. So I tried calling Zoom Tan and of course it's all automated and I couldn't get through. So I looked online and to contact them I had to fill out a form with my name, #, reason to contact them and it told me someone would call me shortly. I waited a week. Then tried again. Nothing. So I got back on their website and found they have a "chat" option so I started a chat with their corporate employee and explained the situation that my debit card was charged and so was my gift card. I was told "Sorry but you can't use gift cards on memberships" after explaining that their manager said I could they continued to argue with me, kicked me out of their chat(three times actually), rather than just apologize, refund my debit card the fee, and educate their staff on their policy, approximately 4 different corporate employees argued with me over a 3 hour span. They even went to the extent of checking their security cameras on the day I went in (back in April), just to lie and say I didn't use a gift card. I contacted the manager that was working that day and she confirmed I did use a gift card. These "customer service" employees were rude and at one point they were so immature I thought I was talking to 10 year old kids. They implied that I was just trying to get extra money and said they needed the gift card #. I explained that after it was used, I deleted it off my phone. I was told "Well contact the person who bought it for you to get the #" and "You should still have a record of it" (uhmm, no. I don't know about anyone else but once I use a gift card I throw it out.) I should also add that these employees were responding in this chat as if I wasn't there, one guy texted the other person, "Tell her we can't do anything" This company would prefer to lie and keep the extra 29.99 they charged me rather than refund it and have a happy, returning customer. I also checked their rating on BBB, and they range between an F and D+. Just posting this to warn anyone who may plan on tanning there. Don't waste your money there!
