Made an appointment to just get my haircut, showed up 10 minutes early and 40 minutes later I was still waiting to get my hair cut. The employees took 3 people before me and didn't acknowledge that I was there. Very disappointed and will not be going back, horrible customer service.
Victoria no longer works here. So I made an appointment with Emily. I was nervous because my wedding was the week after and I never like going to a new stylist. I arrived early and I expected to wait for my appointment time. She took me when I walked in. My hair is quite tricky to do anything with but she took her time and made sure everything was good before I left. I enjoyed my experience.
Many of my friends had been going to MasterCuts, so I decided to give it a try the other day. First off, they're easy to find; just go through the Bonton entrance of the mall and you're good. They took down my information (name, phone number, zip) to put me on their list (I'm assuming my info stays in the system) and told me there were 3 people ahead of me. This is ideal for people who plan on doing some shopping in the mall that day or aren't in a rush, because if a few people are ahead of you, you need to wait 20 to 30 minutes. So if you want to pick something up or do some shopping at another store, they'll be ready for you by the time you get back. My hair dresser was awesome...and I usually never let women cut my hair! I had Ashley, she was kind, very knowledgeable, and funny. The appointment took about 15 or 20 minutes (average). She had no problem trimming the top a bit more (some barbers may go "oh please you're fine") but she wanted me to be completely satisfied. Overall, it was a positive experience and I do plan on going back again. However, if you're in a rush, this is not the ideal place, since there's always a waiting list. I THINK you can call ahead to make an appointment. Also, if you're a student, they have a small discount for that. They also accept credit cards! Of course I wish it was a bit cheaper, but it was the average haircut price for Erie.
