I travel all the way from the Peninsula to get my hair cut at Uncle Chops in the San Jose area. I have been a regular customer for about 4 months and every experience has been great. Uncle Chop is my barber and he always gets my "wig" on point--taking into consideration my personal style and the growth patterns of my hair. I have tried several other barbers in the Bay Area, but this is the only barber I have found where the expertise, service, conversation, and community vibe feel right. The shop (including the bathroom) is clean and tidy. Appointments are easy to schedule and they start timely. The longest I have ever waited to start my appointment was 5-minutes! That's almost unheard of in my experiences with other salons and shops. This barbershop welcomes and provides services for everyone. I especially recommend this shop if you are a woman (like me) who needs clipper services, bespoke cuts, and a positive experience.
