Nueva Imagen Salon in San Jose, CA

Suzy has been my main barber for about six years now. I've never had a bad cut, and I find myself going from Palo Alto down to downtown San Jose just so I can keep the fresh cut and signature look of mine. Suzy is incredibly friendly and the tight-knit community of downtown San Jose all go to her. If I could give her 10 stars I would! The atmosphere is family friendly and I believe she does haircuts for all ages.

GO WITH CAUTION. This was my usual spot because the price was fair and she used to do a good job, now she's constantly rushing while having side conversation and leaving me with avoidable scars. I had to go back because she left a whole side of my cheek uneven and chopped a portion of my mustache off as well as the parts that connect from mouth to chin that didn't need to be touched. And when I'm telling her what's wrong she gives be attitude?! This wasn't even the first time too, but I went back to give her another chance and I was disappointed yet again. I'm not the type to write yelp reviews but I had enough and thought I'd share for the next person. I appreciate her hustle and kindness but how does one walk out of there satisfied with uneven hair?

$25 for a men's haircut, shampoo & shave. Not a bad deal in these parts of downtown San Jose. That's a weekday worth of lattes @academiccoffee. The staff are bilingual and know how to do fades as well more traditional cuts. It is a second floor salon however with steep stairs, so this may be a factor in your decision to visit. Walkins welcome.

This was an amazing experience! I'm a student attending SJSU and I usually travel back to my hometown (Oakland) to get a cut. I got tired of going back for a cut I didn't even like! Let me tell you, this place was amazing and the cut was great! Great service for just $25! Please give a tip!

Review from my husband So I got into town needing a quick haircut before visiting family and friends and I found this place! The lady that cut my hair was super nice and knew exactly what I wanted! I showed her a picture and she did it just right! She pulled her barber magic and even my beard is more full looking from the way she cleaned it up! It's easy to miss because you have to go up the stairs almost behind the Corner cafe and Diner. Parking is also available in the back of the building. Once upstairs you may have to knock but you will not be let down! Price was great also! Around $25 and don't forget to tip well! It may just be a simple haircut, but man do I feel like a new person! I love this hidden gem!
