Leslie has been cutting and coloring my hair since before she even opened The Beehive and has always done an excellent job. Even when living abroad, I would try to book an appointment with her any time I was back in Bloomington, and there has never been a cut or color that I've been unhappy with. She pays a lot of attention to what you request and her attention to detail is unmatched by any other hairstylist I've had. She is great to talk with, kind, and empathetic and every visit is like catching up with an old friend.

The salon is also super cute, cozy, and had a fun atmosphere. I cannot recommend The Beehive enough!

Needed to find a new place to get my hair cut.  Searched and found them on Yelp.  I was able to book an appointment online. I got a cut and highlights. Hannah did a great job and was friendly and knew what she was doing. I will be going back!!

I came for my appointment here, was barely greeted by the one hairdresser working, waited 25 mins, and decided to just leave. Not once after the initial questioning of why I was there did she even seem to notice I was still waiting and she was clearly in no rush to finish coloring the previous client's hair. Very unimpressed. Not to mention the hairdresser's hair was over-bleached and generally looked bad; was hesitant to have her touch my hair anyway.

Where to begin? I love this salon. I've gotten 3 colors, 2 perms, and several cuts from Leslie in the last year. She is a true artist. You can either come in with an exact idea of what you want, or you can give her a general idea and she will provide the glow up. I came to her with flat, straight, level 7 (dark blonde/light brown) hair and she permed and bleached me to a new level (11 to be exact) that I love. Leslie is kind and provides fun conversation during your session. I've met her kids because this is indeed a family oriented business with real working adult owners (Hannah and Leslie). I came here based on a recommendation from a friend (who let Leslie paint fun colors in her hair!) and I am so pleased. Leslie always accommodates me and leaves at least 3 hrs for any color or chemical treatment on my hair because she's learned that my thick hair just requires that long. She's flexible with scheduling appointments. She's helped me discover the best products for my changing and treated hair. Leslie has rocked every color and style ever, so she's a great person to ask about those new styles we may wanna try. I never thought I'd be a golden blonde with curly hair, but Leslie never doubted that I could pull it off, and I love her for giving me that confidence. I will be sad to leave Bloomington this July because it means I'll also be leaving my favorite stylist ever.

I had wonderful customer service and a great color/cut. I hadn't gotten my hair done in a year, and I was transformed into a goddess with great hair! Super cute shop and very professional service.
